TURNINGPOINT

“And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them:and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness. And he said unto him, I am the Lord that brought thee out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give thee this land to inherit it.”Genesis 15:5-7.

One of the expectations of one generation from the former generation is heritage. This concept has cultural, religious, social connotations. Proverbs 19:14 clearly states that houses and riches are the inheritance of fathers. The quest by fathers to leave an inheritance is one of the drivers of corruption and the cycle of frustration.

The thought of seeing the seed as stars could have discouraged Abraham instead of encouraging him. How many resources in houses and riches would have been adequate to settle such a crowd. God fulfilled this covenant to Abraham, he became the father of a great nation.

“And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee:and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”Genesis 12:2-4.

Greatness begins with a name, the name of Abraham is synonymous with greatness and a blessing. The covenant is a turnaround platform where earthlings are turned to stars. The limits of humanity are the zero or start-point of divinity for a turning point.

Everyone that encounters the same God and enters into the same covenant ends up as a shining star in life. Redemption is not for the reduction of status but elevation to stardom.

Every seed of Abraham is a star that must shine, several are already illuminated by the covenant of blessing, you’re next in line. The covenant is the turning point, Christ Jesus is the covenant keeper.

“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us:for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”Galatians 3:13-14.

Prayer:

Thank you father for the power of the covenant that turnaround lives and destinies of earthlings to stars. The covenant turning point is real, far above, beyond and exceeding any other force of earth by the same Christ Jesus.

REDEMPTION PACKAGE

“A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.”Proverbs 13:22.

Some days ago, I came across a video of a palatial mansion belonging to a popular billionaire with over thirty choice cars parked in the premises overgrown by trees and grasses uninhabited and in disrepair. I was tempted to ask a few questions but no answers were available. Where are the children, family, friends, relatives and well-wishers?

This phenomenon has become a common sight in many communities and towns. Many have toiled, laboured and gathered much but have none to continue their work or uphold their legacy. Why should the demise of one mark the collapse of everything he has worked for? There is a covenant guaranteed for trans-generational transfer of fortune. The end does not justify the means, the means justify the end.

The covenant is the heritage of the seed of Abraham and the blessing of their inheritance and portion.

“And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee:and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”Genesis 12:2-4.

What heritage are you leaving for the next generation? A question worth asking. I am unaware of horses, chariots, herds of cattle and the like transferred from Abraham to Isaac or Isaac to Jacob but the blessing.

Blessing is empowerment to prosper, multiply and increase in leaps and bounds notwithstanding the prevailing circumstance or situation. The blessing gives feathers to fly, fortune & future from fathers to seeds. It’s time to rethink the covenant way of trans-generational transfer of fortune.

The inheritance of the fathers is limited to houses and riches but the blessing gives access to an unlimited fortune. Think the blessing, think the covenant; it’s the redemption package.

Prayer:

Thank you father for the redemption package, the heritage of God in Christ Jesus. The heritage of God has become my heritage and portion for life in Jesus name.

NO MORE SHADOWS!

“He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil:for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”Psalms 23:3-4.

Fear has been defined as false evidence appearing real by some authors and I concur. Fear is a shadow of reality and this might be refreshing news to some persons. Growing up and staying outdoors in the day is instructive. The shadows of each person changes with the orientation of the sun and the time of the day. The evening and the morning have the largest and longest shadows and sometimes we engage in shadow fights without contact or impact. The midday sun usually produces the smallest shadows, a crude timekeeper. No one is ever afraid of his shadow or the shadow of another.

The shadows of life are defined by faith or fear, a restored soul minimizes the shadows.

“I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.” Psalms 34:4-5.

Fears amplify the shadow, faith exterminate the shadow of fears. No more fears is not a wish but the reality of relationship with the Father, Son and the Holy spirit. The soul is restored by relationship with Christ Jesus to see the reality and terminate the shadows; the shadows come and go, the creator is the reality. The reality of the death, burial, resurrection and the blood of Christ Jesus  dissolves the shadow of the fear of death.

The presence of God is the antidote to fears, the valley of the shadow of death become a highway of calm. This is the turnaround moment for every restless soul; no more shadows!

“Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.”Hebrews 2:14-15

Prayer:

Thank you father for the opportunity to be connected to the Godhead for fearless living. The shadows are gone, the reality has come. Living has become a worthwhile experience in Jesus name.

I SHALL NOT FEAR!

“I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.” Psalms 34:4-5.

When the discourse of fears and how to overcome them or live without fears come to the fore, some persons switch off in a hurry. It’s either they have no fears or they’re not willing to do something about them. Fears are the cloak of humanity, it becomes evident when the object of their fears appear.

The exaggerated reaction of some persons to things like a rat, cockroach or a fly  is instructive as though it was a lion. Some even have a charismatic approach to their fears; terms like “the blood of Jesus”, “die by fire” and “agents of the devil” are echoed in sheer trepidation.

Fear is a spirit, fears is the plural or the state of being fearful. Faith and fear are two parallel lines that have no meeting point.

“He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil:for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” Psalms 23:3-4.

The 23rd psalm is one of my daily recitations while growing up in my native dialect. Fears are the proof of a soul that is not at rest, resolved and with fear of evil. The psalm teaches me that I cannot end all the opportunities or objects of fear but I can be free from the spirit of fear. Even in the valley where the opportunity abounds, fear is already transformed to faith. The shadows of death will not end neither faith in God for the soul restored.

Faith therefore is being at rest in God, trusting in his mighty power and looking unto him that is greater than your fears.

When God becomes your fear, there’s nothing more to fear; I shall not fear!

“Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.”Hebrews 2:14-15

Prayer:

Dear father, thank you for giving me insight and understanding into ministry of the lord who is my shepherd. He is the end of my fears and the beginning of my faith. Even in the valley of death, I fear not in Jesus matchless name.

DELIVERED FROM FEARS

“I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.” Psalms 34:4-5.

I grew up in a community where a particular species of snakes are venerated and associated with the gods of the land. When they come into the living space, they’re not to be killed or harmed but removed cautiously.  Sometimes you’re advised to call the worshippers to move it back to its usual abode. I have this morbid fear for snakes, moreso for pythons.

Fears are real, many have to live and deal with them. It may not mean much to those that have no fears but fears seem to exert control over many lives. The reaction to the fears are way beyond and above the expected.

“Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.”Hebrews 2:14-15.

Flesh and blood is the costume of the fearful, it’s not abnormal to have fears being a human. Fears bring living to the level of existence instead of thriving. The entrant of divinity into humanity is the end or deliverance from fears.

Fear is a spirit, deliverance comes from the father of all spirits. Deliverance from all fears begin with a relationship with Christ Jesus the lord. The snake, cat, rat or the like may be the object of fear but deliverance is from the spirit of fear. Those that are not ashamed of the saviour become illuminated to overcome the spirit of fear. Fears end, when the blood fell; flowers of hope and the beauty of creation are appreciated, not feared.

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.”Revelation 12:11-12.

Prayer:

Thank you father for deliverance from fears by the blood of Jesus. Victims are turned to victors by redemption. No more fears, no to fears! I cast out the spirit of fear in the name of Jesus.

WRITTEN OF ME

“Say ye not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid. Sanctify the Lord of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.”Isaiah 8:12-13.

I live in a community where cursing people by their gods is the norm. It’s heartbreaking when one overhears a mother cursing her own child “ogun go kill you!”  While it sounds good to some ears, it is unacceptable to say the least. A death wish I call it as the child lives to hear more of such curses in the future.

I had the privilege of seeing “ogun” or the god of iron to my chagrin; a piece of metal dedicated, consecrated and worshipped. The piece of metal is not the issue but the spirits invoked by their worship. This is the situation in many religious circles; the gods of men. Christ Jesus destroyed the dread of the gods by the worship of the true God. If the devil had the power of death, many would have been killed by the fear of ogun.

“See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.  For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever.”Deuteronomy 32:39-40.

This is why I know that that I will live and not die, the devil does not hold the power of life and death anymore. Those that curse in the name of their gods desire to perpetuate the fear of death, they cannot kill nor make alive. Life is the gift of God, he is the almighty and none can deliver from his hand.

Jesus died to reinstate the divine order in heaven, hell, death and the grave. No man, woman or gods have the right to your life, the divine order has changed.  The victim has become the victor, the sheep is now a lion, the crushed has become the champion. Redemption is restoration to the original estate, that’s what God has written of you for ever.

No more fears! Their fear is onlonger my fear; I am redeemed from fear!

“Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.”Hebrews 2:14-15.

Prayer:

I am indeed thankful to you father for remaining the one that kills and makes alive by your great power. Life is your gift, living is your covenant benefit. The divine order is at work, fear of death ends now in the name of Jesus.

LIVE AND NOT DIE!

“Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.”Hebrews 2:14-15.

I love watching the news; north, east, west and south the news never ends. It sometimes comes in torrents, the information provokes faith or fear. The news is one of the major sources of dread to many hearts. The news comes in different platforms, means and portals. The same news can evoke different responses in different hearts. The news of the death counts from COVID 19 killed many, the waves are yet to be cleared from some hearts.

It’s awesome to hear the voice of Jesus saying “fear not”! Fear is when false evidence appearing real, it is a trap of the devil.

Many are still unaware of the fact that the devil is no longer in charge of death hence the dread and the fear he uses.

“And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”Revelation 1:17-18.

Faith begins when fear ends; the power of faith dethrones fear. The channels of fear become the channel of faith by the change in focus. If the devil still has the keys of death, many of us would have been dead long ago.

The Fear of death is the trick at his disposal as we speak, he can still use it at will. Fear can only operate with the permission of the fearful. Fears end when faith in Christ Jesus is activated.

“That devil is a liar!” I am alive because Christ is alive too! What  could not keep Christ in the grave cannot keep me afraid. I refuse to be a victim of the fear of death, I refuse to be oppressed, depressed and repressed by it.

Jesus is lord over sin, death and the grave; redemption is the ticket to live and not die, Jesus is the lifeguard.

“He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”1 John 3:8.

Prayer:

Thank you dear father for given us a life guard and giver in Christ Jesus the lord. I am no longer a victim of the fear of death as I have received the gift of God to live and not die in Jesus name.

COVENANT OF LIFE

“Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.”Hebrews 2:14-15.

Death is one of the issues that has troubled many persons more than any other issue of life. It troubles old and young, rich and poor, small and great, Jew and Gentiles. Many have even taken an extra step enquiring on how to prolong their days on the earth. One of my mentors calls death the leveler men whether great or small.

Some persons wonder why we share the grace of long life when the author of our faith died young. The answer to the query is that is the reason he died for us to live. That is the mystery of the covenant of life, he died for me to live not to die. He became a partaker of death that we might be the partaker of life.

“Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.”Hebrews 4:14-15.

The proof of the life he gives is the resurrection of Christ Jesus. The fear of death kills before death comes. Jesus did not only destroy him that had the power of death but the fear of death also and gave us life.

Death is no longer the enemy, it’s in the hands of Christ Jesus. He tasted death for all, destroyed the dread of death to give us life. The proof of the deeds is his passage through death, the grave and back to life and lives eternally. The keys of hell and death is repossessed and abundant life he gives.

You are no longer a victim of death, disease and dying but a captive of life eternal. The covenant of death is now converted to the covenant of life.

Prayer:

Thank you father for the covenant of life in Christ Jesus. The cross, death and resurrection is my ticket to miss death and activate the covenant of life in the name of Jesus.

SURE COVENANT

“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”Isaiah 53:4-5.

The covenant is based on reciprocal responsibilities between the partners. A covenant is a deal between two, the terms are sure also the deliverables. The covenant is God’s basis for relationship with man; the divinity connecting to humanity.

There are two covenants before God, the old and new covenant with testaments others are pretenders. The first covenant was by the blood of bulls and goats but the second covenant is by the blood of Jesus. The covenant is not a contest of ideology but of the raw acts of God. The covenant is the sure, the deliverables are sure.

Jesus is not trying to die,the riches of redemption are not a guess but sure.

When a man does his part, God does what no man can do.

There is no greater force on the earth than the power of the covenant. The imperfections of the covenant of Abraham is perfected in Christ. From a few people in one nation, the covenant became the portion of all that believe both Jews and Gentiles  The cross was the entry and exit point from one covenant to another. From curses to blessing, from weakness to power from disease to wellness.

If the old covenant brought honour and glory, how much more the new covenant. The covenant is the sure mercies of Abraham at work in Christ Jesus. It is not by achievement, but receivement through Christ Jesus. In the instability and uncertainty of daily living, the covenant is the stabilizer and surety for living.

Prayer:

Thank you lord for the sure covenant in Christ Jesus the lord. It’s a better and sure mercies of Abraham at work today. From uncertainty, certainty I’d given by Christ Jesus.
