Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 2 Corinthians 5:17-18.
Buying tech and other equipments online is the new norm. The bargains are protean, the options are multiple with diverse descriptions. One of the headings that is catchy is the preowned or refurbished devices. Many goods that would have cost a fortune come cheaper under this category.
This verse quoted is one I love so much and long to teach new converts. It’s amazing to know that we are not refurbished but new creatures. The old is gone and the new has come says the NIV translation. No trace of the old is applied to the new! Isn’t that unusual? All things available to the new creature are of God. The price of redemption translates sinners to new creatures by Christ Jesus. Those that understand this identity never end up as nonentities.
“Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:”Colossians 1:12-14.
“Tear rubber, new chassis” is a colloquial description of something new. That is the product of redemption, something that has never existed in the past. It’s also a change of position and portion from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of God. Forgiveness of sins is also a recurring theme in these process of translation. A new man, in a new world is the product of redemption.
Redemption cannot be a demotion, but an elevation to the higher life and heritage of Christ. The redeemed are partakers of the inheritance of the saints. There is nothing that can guarantees such a sudden change of status like the redemption power. Welcome to the world of the redeemed or translated.
“He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” John 1:10-12.
Prayer: Dear Father, I am grateful to be counted worthy of being translated by redemption. A new creature, a son, partaker of God’s nature, kingdom citizen are we. Thank you for your translating power in Jesus name.
