LED BY THE STAR

I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. Revelation 22:16.

Every time the story of the wise men from the east is told, many questions come to mind. Who else saw the star? Who are these people? What is their name? Which country did they come from? Why didn’t anyone bother to check for the star even when they were informed about it? Some theologians have offered some insights into the identity of the wise men, their suggestions brought their confusion to light. They couldn’t have been angels since they needed the service of angels on their way.

Since the word of God called them men, they were men; of course that was not Santa, the chief of clowns. One things is sure, we don’t know who they are neither do we know their nationality, ethnicity nor religion but they were indeed wise. While we all look, Christ was revealed to the wise men from the east not west.

“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit:for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.”1 Corinthians 2:9-10.

The wise men saw, understood and knew what most persons are yet to perceive even today. They has a personal encounter with Jesus Christ the root and offspring of David being led by his star. The star of David has been well celebrated and his throne three thousand years after his death yet there is much ignorance of the lord Christ.

Educational knowledge has thought us much but not many have revelation knowledge. While they all looked, prophecies came to pass, only the devout were in touch with this accomplishment. Education is not free, revelation is free at the frequency of divine connection.

The bright and morning star is still shinning, eyes to see, ears to hear and heart to understand to receive inspiration from the word of God. The times and seasons of your life are in his hand; be led by the star.

” We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 2 Peter 1:19.

Prayer; Father of lights and illumination, open my eyes to see, ears to hear, understanding to be enlightened on the truth of your Christ by the holy spirit. Grace to receive instruction of direction receive i never to miss the way in the new year. May i be counted with the wise in Jesus name

JESUS, SON OF DAVID.

My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David. His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me. It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah. Psalms 89:34-37.

The Bible is the book of covenants, Jesus is the fulfillment of all the covenants in the book. His birth was spoken of by the prophets of old, and those alive at his birth confirmed the same prophecies. The angels were joyfully elated at the fulfillment of the prophecies at his birth.

The establishment of the throne of David was one of the covenants confirmed at his birth. The promise was that David will never lack a king on his throne for ever. Jesus is the son of David biologically and spiritually; the fulfillment of prophecies. The sun and moon were witnesses of the accomplishment of what was spoken.

What was spoken by the prophets was conceived by the Holy Spirit.

“But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife:for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus:for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,” Matthew 1:20-22.

Someone may wonder what it means to be the son of David?

The king that gave Israel a nation and the star of David which is the symbol of the same. A covenant that has been fulfilled, a saviour and a king born after the same order. Jesus is his name, Christ his title, messiah is also its interpretation. What the whole world has been eagerly waiting for is accomplished in him. The connection between heaven and earth is established in him. He rules and reigns both in heaven and the earth on the throne of David. His name is greater than every name; the root and offspring of David. His name is the license to signs and wonders unlimited.

He is the king, the governor, the prophet, priest and almighty God; all in one. The government is upon his shoulder, wonderful, counselor, prince of peace. And I am connected to the root of David.

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6.

Prayer: father, I am delighted at the gift of your son Jesus Christ as the son of David biologically and spiritually. Dominion, wisdom and honour is once again restored. Thank you for the government on his shoulders and I am connected in Jesus name.

WORSHIP AND GIFTS; WISEMEN DOT COM.

That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: Ephesians 4:14-15.

The celebration of the birth of Christ bring out the essence of godly worship. Sometime within the year, a wind of doctrine blew that exposed lack of foundation in some people that claimed to believe in Jesus Christ. The sleight of one man became headline news for many who are children in the faith.

The reason for the season is the celebration of the gift of God or the God that gave his best to the world. Giving therefore is the heart of Christian worship, without giving, worship is incomplete. To be born among men is no ordinary gift, it’s the highest form of giving or a sacrifice. As often as these themes are repeated in church services daily many are unaware of the giving covenant which began with God giving his son.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16.

Christmas is not only a joyful celebration but a sober reflection of the enormity of Jesus the gift of God. Can you give your son to the world of people that hate him enough to kill him?

While his birth has been celebrated over and over, his death awaits. His was born to die for all of us; his birth and death celebrates God’s gift to man. There is no better gift, no greater gift, no higher giving by God giving his son. No one appears before the king without a gift to honour him.

The Christmas period is the season of record gift giving. The wise men brought gifts worthy of the king before him; gold myrrh and frankincense. They opened their treasures, they gave their best to God, they gave everything he needed for the king to live a fragrant life on earth. They also offered the sacrifice of service and devotion by following the star to the king, their worship and worthy gifts.

So what have you brought to offer to the king of kings?

“When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.” Matthew 2:10-11.

Prayer: Father, I thank you for the gift of Jesus Christ. The greatest and best gift to man. The wise give with open treasures, not the trash or left overs. May I be counted among the wise men in Jesus name.

GIFTS FOR MY KING.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6.

The first thing to learn when dealings with royalty is palace etiquette. It’s important that things are done in particular ways, order and process. This is similar to what obtains in some government houses. It’s not always about how you want things done but how it must be done.

Jesus Christ in prophecy was described as a neonatal king; the government. He was not going to be king, he was king; the throne of David was empty. The government was upon his shoulder and all the etiquette of royalty was observed.

Every new king receives visitors who come to pledge allegiance to his reign. Some also come to worship with honourable gifts fit for the king to curry his favour. His first visitors were the shepherds after the angelic visitation and announcement. The shepherd union sent representatives because the newborn king is the chief shepherd.

“And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child. And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds.” Luke 2:16-18.

The wise men from the east had a different reason for seeing the newborn king. They saw the distinct star and were guided by the help of angels to the king.

Naturally, kings are born in palaces not in a manger hence they got to the palace first. It wasn’t long before discovering that they were at the wrong place as the star was not rested at the palace. They eventually found the star on leaving the palace until it rested at the place with the king. They had unique gifts worthy for the king to worship him; gold, frankincense and myrrh. Their journey was so long that at that time the king was a young child. Oh worship the newborn king and present your gifts; that is the essence of the celebration.

“When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him:and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.” Matthew 2:10-11.

Prayer; Father, I bow down to worship the king of kings with my gifts. My heart I give, my soul an offering, my will and ways to you and my body a living sacrifice. May they be acceptable to you in Jesus name.

NEONATAL KING; A KING IS BORN.

But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife:for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus:for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Matthew 1:20-22

In contemporary times, many of us have experienced the announcement of the birth of babies of royalty who would grow up to become kings and princes. These announcements are usually from the royal family official. The name is also given for the records and the news go far and wide.

Jesus was born king, not an heir to a throne; a neonatal king. His birth was announced by angels to shepherds who brought the news to town. He was not born in a fancy health facility but a manner surrounded by animals. All of these contradictions did not change his status, nor affect his stature. He was born king to the throne of his father David. One of the most damning records of the bible is that a king is born; it reverberated in the palaces of the kings of his days from Herod to Caesar.

“And the angel said unto them, Fear not:for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.” Luke 2:10-12.

Your stature does not determine status. A baby yet a king; it was determined at conception and manifested at birth. That is the story of Christ Jesus and that is your story when you receive him.

The newborn king is the key to self discovery of what you were born for. You may have been born differently but your status has not changed. Everyone was born great, born for something great revealed at new birth. The newborn king opens the door to your status for purposeful living. Even the wisemen travelled a long way to validate the star they saw.

No one knew about the star which was the sign of a neonatal king. You’re a star in the sky waiting to be unveiled by Christ. The king is but a baby but his stature did not diminish his status. The king is a neonate, but he’s still a king.

You’re not growing into your purpose but born with a purpose. Those that know not their identity live like nonentities.

By him discover your identity; you’re born for something great.

“Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.” John 18:37.

Prayer: Father, I am delighted to know that I am born great. My purpose begins at conception not at birth. Jesus unveils my reason for living. May he continually show me the path of my life in Jesus name.

GIFT TO THE WORLD

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.

This scripture always comes to mind every celebration of the birth of Christ. God gave a gift to the world, a gift of joy, peace and everlasting life.

Sin sink destinies, perishing in sin is terminated by the birth of Christ Jesus. God’s greatest and best gift is Christ; it’s God’s gift to the world.

Have you received the gift of God to all into your life; it turns terrestrial to everlasting lifestyle. It’s an error to think that the free gift of God to the world has ever diminished in value. The gift of love is the best gift ever, it’s still blazing the trail after over 2000years.

God gave love to the world and his giving has never stopped, rather multiplied and increased. As you open the boxes of goodness today, remember that  it started with the gift of Christ; the greatest and  best gift ever. Giving is easy to those that love and appreciate you but a sacrifice giving to those that hate you.

“What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” Romans 8:31-32.

Receiving the gift of Christ make giving easy. The gift of Christ opens the door to the gift of life and much more. God spared not his son, he turned him into a gift to the world.

God gave so we give; giving and receiving has become a natural cycle. The gift of Christ grants access to other gifts which are given freely in him.

Receiving Christ is not an end in itself but a means to an end. The birth of Christ changed time and seasons of the world. It also changes the stature of life from temporal to eternal life. It translates from the kingdom of this world to the kingdom of God where all the riches in glory are not only available but accessible.

This is the reason why Jesus Christ is the gift of God to the world.

“Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.”Revelation 5:12-13.

Prayer; Father I thank you for the gift of Christ to the world and not only to the church. Through him have we received freely power, riches, wisdom, strength, honour, glory and blessings. We joy at the remembrance of his love in Jesus name.

JOY TO THE WORLD

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them:and they were sore afraid.

And the angel said unto them, Fear not:for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. Luke 2:8-10

The  birth of Christ is the most celebrated event in the world, however it has  a different meaning to different people. Some have found fantasy, others tradition and another created an optical illusion called Santa Claus.

The message of the angels is key to understanding; a king and a Kingdom is born. Heaven came down and glory filled the place announcing the good news. Angels are messengers of God and servants of the saints.

The good news to the shepherds is that Jesus not Santa is coming to town. The good news was not restricted to Jews, Arabs, Caucasians, negroes or Gentiles but to all the world. There is no other news that has made more difference in the world than the god news.

The joy in town is palpable, the excitement is contagious but the truth is obvious.

“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,” Luke 2:11-13

Joy comes in different packages, the birth of a child is a joyful thing, much more the birth of Christ the saviour.

How do you respond to good news? It’s an opportunity to express yourself in unusual ways.

Joy is Gods invention, it’s a total package for your all round advancement. The cost that has been placed on happiness is enormous. The birth of Christ guarantees joy, happiness is the product of happenings. Happiness is virtual, fleeting and flirting, joy is real enduring and eternal. Jesus is the gift of joy to the world, there’s no joy without him.

All you ever wanted, everything you ever needed is in him. The total need of man. The celebration of the birth of Christ brings joy to the world.

“Joy, joy God’s great joy joy, joy down in my soul  Sweet beautiful soul saving joy ohhhhhh joy joy in my soul” This is my song this Christmas. It’s a gift of joy.

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.” Luke 2:13-15.

Prayer: Father, I am grateful for the gift of joy which is in the gift of Jesus Christ. Let my joy know no bounds in the season of celebration of your birth. May you always dwell in me with joy unspeakable full of glory in Jesus name.

The King and a clown

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. James 1:17.
Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift. 2 Corinthians 9:15.
The day is Boxing day, and gifts lights up the celebration of Christ. God is the father of lights, light is his invention and gifts his lifestyle. One of the hallmarks of Christmas is the exchange of gifts. Jesus Christ and the kingdom of Heaven are God’s gift for the season. God is the father of lights; the gift is Christ, he gives gifts to men. These are good and perfect gifts for a perfect Christmas. The gifts are free, it makes men free. The gift of God meets every need of man. The wise men also gave gifts fitting for the King; Gold, frankincense & myrrh. These gifts were given in worship; symbolic of the office of the King & Priest. The gift of à Saviour from God the father, not from Santa. God is the most generous giver, no one can ever out-give him. In Christ, heaven was given to the earth; his Kingdom came. When Christ the gift of God is received, hè gives gifts to men. Thank God for his unspeakable gift to man. The gift of God is the highest gift, good and perfect gift to men. Incomparable to gifts expected from the North pole from the King of Clowns. À joke already taken too far; Jesus is coming to town, not Santa Claus. À gift of toys cannot compare to the gift of Christ to the world. An ornament of plastic and à jewel for life and eternity. Your gift is Christ, your portion is his Kingdom; gifts to men. Recieve nothing less this Christmas. The gifts is for those who know the king and belong to his kingdom. Every good and perfect heavenly gift is yours today from the father. Recieve the gift of Christ at Chrismas. Jesus Christ has come to town. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16.

SUN 10:22

Say his name! For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. Isaiah 9:6-7. Names are powerful tools for identity and destiny. After the birth of a child, his name is the next quest. For a king with a lineage, names of former powerful kings are speculated. For this king, his name was prophesied. Multiple characteristics were documented, defining his identity & destiny. His name shall be wonderful, counsellor, the mighty God, the everlasting father. That does not sound like a name but a vivid capture of his life in essence. Names follow persons and their lineages; they are not simple terms. “And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest:and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.”Luke 1:31-33. There is no contradiction between the prophets and the angel. It’s the same God, the same name, the same purpose, identity and destiny. For every child given to man, a name is also given. May the names of your children be covenant names indeed. Jesus is his name, the course of his life was defined in the name. He has a human name, which was also his covenant name. His name is above every other name, everything and everyone bows. His kingdom has no end, great ones come and go but his kingdom reigns for ever. In his name his kingdom is provoked. His name is the password to everything in his kingdom and in heaven, on earth and under the earth. One name for everything. He name saves, delivers and heals; his name shall be called Jesus Christ. He is the king, his kingdom has come; this is Christmas. “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”Philippians 2:10-11.

09:26

Born to reign. For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder:and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom,to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. Isaiah 9:6-7. The birth of Jesus is the beginning of the kingdom of God on the earth. This kingdom is not only spiritual but physical with members & structures. The government is upon the shoulders of Jesus Christ. The Church is the extension of this government on the earth. You are either a participant or a spectator. Now understand ye why the palace railed at the birth of Jesus Christ. This is the reason for the friendship of Herod & Pilate at his crucifixion. He was born to rein eternally. The reason for Governments is to provide solutions to life situation. This duty is often unfulfilled and the population deprived. Jesus is not running a parallel government, his government supersedes all. The greatest need of man is the foundation of his government; salvation. The beauty of his government is that every member has equal access to him. Equity justice and judgement is the character of his throne. Jesus is the Governor of the universe. Upon the throne of David, he orders, establishes, judges and adjudicates. Human governments cannot deliver on their promises without his help. He does not need them, they always need him. Every agenda that stood the test of time was as directed by him. Every human government that takes a detour from his plan crashes. Now you know who is in charge in the nations of the world. He is the King of kings & Lord of lords; he was born to reign for ever. It starts with you; his throne is in your heart. He is lord of all or not lord at all. It’s time to exchange the temporal for the eternal. Jesus is Lord. “Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.”John 18:37.

The king is born.

Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. Matthew 2:2.

Pilate, therefore, said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. John 18:37.

Whenever a king is born, peculiar events occur. Watching the events following the birth of Prince George reinforced this idea. Enthroned at conception, delivered as the King. Instead of a prince, he was born a king, the king of a new kingdom. Where is he that is born King? The wise men asked from the establishment. There was no announcement, a death decree instead came from the palace. Born in a manger, surrounded by straw for the animals, compassed by the host of heaven. Heaven was ecstatic, the angels announced to shepherds in the fields. He was not only the King of the jews, he was also King of heaven. Glory shone around, signs of heaven witnessed on the earth. His star was seen, a shining star, the bright and morning star. The wise see it and follow to find the king. They did not worship the star, they worshipped the king. Their gifts were symbolic & fitting for the king; Gold & frankincense & myrrh. Born a king, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, lived on the earth a lamb. Christmas is the worship of the king and celebration of the kingdom of God. The king is born, the king is born, worship the king of kings. The government is upon his shoulders. His names; wonderful,

Christmas is the worship of the king and celebration of the kingdom of God. The king is born, the king is born, worship the king of kings. The government is upon his shoulders. His names; wonderful, Consellor, the mighty God, the everlasting God, the prince of Peace, Jesus Christ; in a manger. His birth place and humble nativity did not define nor decide his status Every king bows willy-nilly; he continues to reign in life and eternity. Hè reigns as King and his kingdom has come; the wise worship him. That is the essence of Christmas; The King is Born. Hè was Born for this, you are Born for him ; the king and his Kingdom. Worship The King and may your Christmas be Merry. “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.”Isaiah 9:6-7.
