For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 2 Corinthians 10:3-5.
Warfare is not an event, it’s a walk or lifestyle. It’s not once and for all but a way of life of the sons of God.
Man is a spirit, having a soul but living in a body. The soul consists of the mind will and emotions. The battle is in the soul.
The battle is not carnal or physical, the enemy is not a physical being. Imaginations, thoughts and knowledge are battlefield essentials. What are your thoughts, imaginations and knowledge or ignorance of Christ? These activate or deactivate the weapons of our warfare. The weapons also are not carnal but empowered by faith in God. The weapons are not personal, they’re activated through obedience of the word of God.
“Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst. Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.” Isaiah 5:13-14.
A good knowledge of your identity and the weapons of warfare are necessary for a winning walk with God. The level of ignorance on these matters have become the cause of victimization for some persons.
Your walk with God is to the extent of the knowledge of God available to you. The weapons are not singular, they’re multiple and mighty. Have you been trained to use them, if not, the weapons are useless to you. The word of God gives mastery or training on the weapons of our warfare. The book is the manual for understanding the weapons and strategy of war.
You shall no longer be famished neither in captivity, go for knowledge; walk and war!
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” Ephesians 6:12-13.
Dear father, thank you for the weapons of our warfare activated by the knowledge of Christ Jesus. It’s time to be trained to fight the good fight to be free from captivity in Jesus name.
