Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you:not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27

War is a necessity for peace you may have heard from some sage. The most peaceful nations are those with the greatest armament for war. Wartime is the season for most technological advancement and war is the recipe for peace.  Please don’t mind my uncoordinated discourse on world peace and peace of the world.

Peace s a necessity, not an option. While the world seeks peace from outside in, Christ gives peace from inside out. Peace is not the absence of crisis but the conquest of crisis by the state of the heart. Jesus is the prince of peace, he is the giver of perfect peace to the hearts of men.

Worldly peace is negotiable, unreliable and troubling, not so with Christ’s. War or fighting is not a necessity for peace in the world. No one needs to die for peace to reign, one has died, the price for peace is paid.

“And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.”Isaiah 2:4.

War has not brought peace, it has led to more wars and postponed wars to other frontiers. Peace is not negotiable, it receivable from the prince of peace. The prince of peace is the end of wars, fighting and crisis; they shall not learn war anymore. The greatest crisis is within, not without, what plays out is the picture of what is inside. When the war or fighting within is quenched, wars without ends.

The heart is the seat of wars, fighting and conflicts. Christ comes in to terminate the unrest within for peace to reign without. The prince of peace is not only the judge of nations, countries and communities but the end to the conflicts within.

No more wars!

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”Philippians 4:6-7.

Prayer:

Dear father, thank you for giving us the prince of peace for the peace we need. World peace begins with peace within. For destruction, peace is given for construction by the same Christ Jesus my Lord.
