“BLOOD OF GOD”

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; Ephesians 1:7-8.

The first time I heard the term “blood of God” I was upset. It was a joke taken too far; the blood is too precious for a comic effect. I was also fully aware that this jester was once a gospel minister and that a cause of concern.

The blood of Jesus is priceless, we have redemption through the same. Sins are forgiven through his blood, he releases from slavery, sin & death. The blood does not hide sins, it blots it out once and for all. Sin terminates the destiny of men, redemption is the riches of his grace to save man from sin and death. The blood of Jesus is the catalyst that ends the reign of sin & release righteousness which is the riches of redemption. Redemption is the release from sin, sickness, slavery& death by the blood of Jesus.

“Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” Hebrews 9:12-14.

Sin is the sinker of destinies, redemption releases from the clutches of sin. Redemption is not your reduction but elevation to higher life. Jesus redeemed us by his own blood, not with borrowed blood.

Sin & death is not only blotted out but also the conscience of sin to serve God. When sin & death is terminated, eternal salvation is released to all that believe. The blood is not magical nor mystical but the token or evidence of redemption. It’s manifested by decrees or speaking boldly in faith, drinking at the communion table and sprinkling.

The blood of Jesus is God’s seal for man’s redemption; the lamb of God. So the blood speaks, when declared, sprinkled or drank, it’s the blood of God. There is no redemption without the blood of Jesus, God’s own blood.

“To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.”Hebrews 12:23-24.

Prayer: Dear father, I am redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus to serve the living God. The blood of Jesus is not a comic relief but the token of redemption. My reverence and gratitude is yours for forgiveness and release from sin and death in Jesus name.

GOODNESS AND MERCY

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. Psalms 23:5-6.

There are different kinds of tables that are set in life. To some people lining up to take from bureaucratic tables are the norm. From the greatest to the least, by the time it is your turn, there may be nothing left on the table. This is the commonest table on the planet, many are subscribers to its operation.

For every opportunity that comes, the first set of people to come along enjoy the benefits while the rest endure the story of benefits by others. This is the rat race that many have endured in all their life. This is obviously not the will of God for you; survival of the fittest. God has a different kind of table, where you eat in and have more to take away. That is called a banquet! A place where your cup runs over and goodness and mercy are the norm rather than the exception.

“The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? For we being many are one bread, and one body:for we are all partakers of that one bread.”1 Corinthians 10:16-17.

The body and blood of Jesus is the table of blessing and a banquet of life. The seven fold blessing is on the table for every believer eat in and takeaway. Everything available on the table is your portion for consumption.

Power is on the able to rule in the midst of your enemies and have dominion. Riches are in abundant supply for you to have more than enough. Wisdom is also served, this makes you the best among the first. Strength is served; health, vitality and wholeness is your portion. Honour and glory are key ingredients to be far from shame and reproach. The cup of blessing runs over & destroys every curse; goodness and mercy is the take away portion from the communion of the blood and body of Jesus. The sevenfold riches of redemption is the portion of every child of God.

“Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.”Revelation 5:12-13.

Prayer: Father thank you for my portion in Christ by redemption. These sevenfold riches are served on the table for my eat in and take away. Goodness and mercy is served in every area of my life in Jesus name.

HERITAGE OF REDEMPTION.

But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets: And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust. Acts 24:14-15.

I remember those days, when giving your life to Christ was an embarrassment rather than an honour to your family and friends. As soon as the news filters out, you’re regarded as an outcast in the family & friends. Hostile behaviour from siblings & friends to antagonism from parents is the norm. It is regarded as a deviation or rebellion from family or social values & virtues. Whether that is still the case is dependent on the social setting around you.

Paul the Apostle was one of such persons who endured much for his faith. Redemption is for the elevation of destinies, not reduction to religion. We are raised from the dead to reign in Christ over the kingdom of darkness. We are not redeemed to be pitied again but to be glorified in life and destiny. Doesn’t it bother you that you’re being persecuted for living a righteous instead of a riotous life of sin. Paul became a heretic for believing everything in the word of God especially in the resurrection; so also are we.

“Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.”John 3:5-7.

Redemption is not a demotion, but an entrance into the kingdom of God. Resurrection power translates us from the kingdom of darkness to God. Everyone that is born of God celebrates the power of resurrection. It is our entrant into the riches of redemption; our inheritance in Christ. For those that have lost their natural inheritance, this is your eternal heritage. Those that were mocked by men in the past have today become role models to their children.

I have never seen a genuine partaker of redemption that regretted the knowledge of Christ. From a heretic, became a partaker of the heritage of redemption. The sevenfold riches of redemption is your heritage in Christ.

Prayer: Father God, thank you for the gift of Christ our access to redemption. Now we have an eternal heritage in a world of rejection; the riches of redemption is my compensation for mockery and rejection. I am indeed honoured to be a partaker in Jesus name.

RICHES OF REDEMPTION

Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. Revelation 5:12-13.

What is in the body and the blood of Jesus one may ask? Redemption is the principal deliverable; it’s a cross cutting of things on earth and in heaven. Announced from heaven, received by men and at work in the earth. Riches, wisdom, strength, honour, glory, and blessing; the sevenfold expression of redemption. This is the total package of what Jesus gives to the redemption package; not one but all.

When the use of a thing is not known abuse is inevitable. Many will be surprised to find riches as the second redemptive virtue listed and blessing as the last on the list. These seven virtues are what connects heaven to the earth; they are not earthly just as redemption is not earthly.

“Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:”Colossians 1:12-13.

The sevenfold riches of redemption is the heritage of everyone that is saved or redeemed. These are the emblems of victory that we are translated from the kingdom of darkness to the son of God. The experience cannot be the same on both sides; Jesus gives us light to see the will of God. Power, riches, wisdom, strength, honour, glory and blessing are God’s will for you. The same are deliverable by the body and blood of Jesus. Whatever is not synonymous with these is not kingdom of God compliant.

Whoever is born of God is a partaker of these riches in Christ. Welcome to the table where the sevenfold riches of redemption is shared.

“But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God:and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils:ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils.”1 Corinthians 10:20-21.

Prayer: My dear Father, I am delivered from the kingdom of darkness to become partaker of the sevenfold riches of redemption. I am redeemed to enjoy the will of God. Grace to enter into the fullness of redemption package as I eat drink the cup of the lord in Jesus name.

ONE REMEDY FOR ALL MALADIES

Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness:by whose stripes ye were healed. For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls. 1 Peter 2:24-25.

Television is one of my hobbies, the cable news channel my past time. Apart from the news broadcast, several new therapies are on sale. The advertisements never end, two for your joint, ten for your heart, five for your skin and the cycle continues. Everyone is selling something, someone just found something better for one sickness or disease and it’s all over the network. Yet more people are sick from the side effects of the drug which took half of the advert. “When the cure or remedy is more grievous than the disease, God help us

While the remedies multiply, and the specialist without end, there is one remedy that cures all maladies. The flesh and blood of Jesus gives health and cure irrespective of the body system. His body took my sin and sickness, it’s adsorbent; this therapy is over 2000 years old.

“For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father:so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. This is that bread which came down from heaven:not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead:he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.”John 6:55-58.

His flesh adsorbs or takes away sickness, whether in the blood, body or bone. His flesh and blood is therapeutic in nature; having preventive, promotive and curative properties. His blood gives supernatural life!

You don’t have to be a specimen for trial of never therapies. You can receive Jesus as your saviour and healer. The bread from heaven is sufficient for all human ailments. This is one remedy that cures all maladies without any untoward effect. It’s the oldest and most current and contemporary cure of past present and recent infirmities. There is none referred nor deferred of care where Jesus is the healer. With over 200 sub-specialities and still counting, there is still one remedy for all maladies. The communion of the flesh and blood of Jesus is it.

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”Hebrews 4:12.

Prayer: Father, it’s with joy that i receive your word as my saviour and healer. He is that remedy that cures all maladies without untoward effect. Jesus is my lord and saviour and also my healer; thank you for health and cure in Jesus name

WHO NEEDS A REMINDER?

Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy; And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south. Psalms 107:2-3.

The communion table of the flesh and blood of Jesus is a reminder of his sacrifice on the cross. It’s an often reminder of the death, burial & resurrection of my saviour. An unforgettable experience of the redeemer and redemption. Redemption grants unlimited access to the riches of God by Christ Jesus. The blood is the token of liberty, the seal of exemption; the Passover in his blood. The destroyer of destiny is barred from having his way into our lives.

Apart from you the redeemed, the devil needs a reminder. He needs to be reminded that he is defeated & has no power over the redeemed.

“And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”Revelation 12:10-11.

The first key to overcoming the devil is a reminder that you are redeemed. Salvation is not achieved or acquired, it is given and the blood is the token. The devil will not bow until your testimony is boldly declared; I am redeemed. This word of testimony or witness must be in the heart and mouth. Those that do not declare their redemption status actively do not overcome the accuser of  the brethren. The blood shuts the devil up when you speak boldly of your redemption. Believing cannot be passive, neither is overcoming passive.

The table is set for you to boldly declare that you’re saved by the blood and secured by his flesh. Devil get lost! You have no power over me; I am redeemed. I am a partaker of the riches of redemption in the body and blood of Jesus. Redemption is the master key to overcoming the devil.

“Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.”Hebrews 2:14-15.

Prayer: Fear Father, thank you for redemption by the blood of Jesus. It’s the token of deliverance from sin and overcoming the devil. Its the seal of inheritance in Christ Jesus. Thank you for being exempted from the devil and evil in Jesus name.

UNFORGETABLE!

Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy; And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south. Psalms 107:2-3.

One of the things that is not heard easily today is that I am redeemed. Some are proud of the redemption status for fear of discrimination or persecution. For some others it’s not real to them. Church attendance does not equal redemption; it’s about being in touch with Christ the redeemer. Redemption cannot be by proxy, it’s personal, it’s unforgettable. Moses cannot forget the burning bush, neither can Paul forget his encounter on the road to Damascus. If you cannot tell your redemption story, you’re probably not redeemed.

The redeemed of the Lord says “I am redeemed”; unforgettable, undeniable with proofs. The one that died cannot forget, neither should the one that is redeemed. The redeemed remember, they never forget their redeemer.

“For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat:this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood:this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.” 1 Corinthians 11:23-26.

Is there a risk of forgetting the death and resurrection of Christ? Yes, the reason he died could be forgotten, an error some are facing. The communion in the flesh & blood of Jesus is a table of remembrance for continuous empowerment. Every remembrance triggers the release of resurrection power. Everything procured at the cross when remembered is released at the table.

The sevenfold redemption package is available for eating in and take away on the banquet of his flesh and blood. Whatever is remembered is accessible to the redeemed by faith in him that died. Whatever has been paid for by his blood is available on the table for the redeemed. I am redeemed, I am beloved a partaker of the riches of redemption by his blood. I cannot forget my redeemer & redemption on the table of release.

“Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.” Revelation 5:12.

Prayer: Father I thank you for the gift of the Lord Jesus my redeemer and the lamb that was slain. His flesh and blood are tokens of redemption; unforgettable and undeniable feast of the riches of redemption. I celebrate you today and always in Jesus name.

BLOODY REMINDERS

For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat:this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood:this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. 1 Corinthians 11:23-26.

There are dates to remember, a birthday, marriage anniversary, the death of a loved one and the likes. These dates mean so much to the person who remembers; a memorial. Meetings are held in remembrance, every good thing about the person is said to immortalize them. Jesus wants us to remember his sacrifice in specific way; a bloody reminder.

The price of redemption has been paid and that is not cheap. The redeemed are to have this reminder; I am redeemed, never forget who you are. Those that are mindful of their identity never live like nonentities. Redeemed is the highest status available to a believer; a priceless status. We are reminded always and much more as we eat his flesh and drink his blood.

“Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness:by whose stripes ye were healed. For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.”1 Peter 2:24-25.

Without definition we lose direction, without sure identity, we’re at risk of living like nonentities. The memorial of the body and blood of Jesus is for redemption, righteousness and all round health and well being. The remembrance is for the recovery of health, righteousness and redemption and empowerment. It should be done often, which means several times a day, daily, weekly, monthly and the like.

The meal is not bread and wine but the flesh and blood of Jesus, not a representation. The same body broken over 2000 years ago is available for food and the blood shed for drinking. A song we sing at a time like this

“This is my body broken for you, and as you eat it remember me, this is my blood, poured out for you and as you drink it remember me” remember me!

Prayer: Father, thank you for giving me redemption by the blood of Jesus. I am redeemed, saved from sin, delivered and made whole. I remember you often at the table by the gift of your blood and body; the perfect sacrifice for my empowerment in Jesus name.

HELP AT THE DOOR

Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:28-31.

I heard of another definition of success recently as rising from failure to failure without loosing zeal. Zeal is not a virtue readily available to all; stress is celebrated more than passion. Focus is lost when the strength to pursue a vision is lost; they weary and faint. This is the story of man, it comes naturally and the youth are at risk. Many still have vivid memories of their failing or falling as youths long after they overcame it, they trusted in the energy of youth and were disappointed.

God never fails, he is never faint, never wearies nor weak. Some youths have used enhancements drugs to boost performance and obtain acceptance. From regular drugs to drugs of abuse, the cycle of highs and low worsens. Yet, God is not weary nor faint; divine help becomes a necessity.

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart:and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”Matthew 11:28-30

Jesus is offering the help of God to break the cycle of weakness and failure. Fainting and weakness is not just about youth, it’s about the human nature. The burden of failure, fainting and weakness is a daily reality. Jesus gives rest by exchanging weakness with strength, sickness with wholeness, failure with success, despondency with hope and faith.

The strength of God replaces the weakness of man; that is what is served at the table of his flesh and blood. Empowerment by his flesh and blood terminates human nature and procures divine nature. The blood of Jesus gives new life not enhancing human nature. It’s absolutely free to those that come and provided to those that ask. Jesus is at the door knocking to bring life and eternity to your dinner table.

“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock:if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.”Revelation 3:20-21.

Prayer: Father thank you for providing divine nature in exchange for human nature by the communion of the body and blood of Jesus. Thank you for the invitation to be a partaker of this virtue; I will never weary nor faint again in Jesus name.
