ROYAL PRIESTHOOD

And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof:for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests:and we shall reign on the earth. Revelation 5:9-10.

One of the choices I make daily is that of either being the boss (Oga) or the servant (minister). It’s very interesting to be the boss as everyone bow to your opinion, character and personality without contest. It’s is however more rewarding being the minister who serves everyone first before self; moderating over diverse opinions to bring out the best from all. Kings & priests are the status granted by redemption in Christ.

The thought of being a king according to scriptures make some proud as they seek opportunity to humiliate or even exploit others who are regarded as subjects. Redemption enthrones us as kings and priests; royal priesthood in Christ. We serve others by the gift of grace and rewarded by the God of our salvation. I am a king and a priest unto our God to reign on the earth. I am not the Oga, I am the servant leader in my field of endeavour.

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God:which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.”1 Peter 2:9-10.

Kings are enthroned to reign over nations, a cities or a regions. Royalty is usually associated with the retinue of servants and support staff at the beck and call of those enthroned. Their word is law and he or she must be obeyed.

We are seated in heavenly places by Christ Jesus as kings and priests to God to reign in righteousness. This is a different kind of royalty, connected to the highest yet serving men by the grace of God and reconnecting back to God. There is no royalty greater than the most high, king of kings and lord of lords. We are totally submissive to the almighty and highest to reign on the earth. We reign in life by obedience to God and service to men; service is the reigning key.

God is still in control but we are in charge on the earth as royal priesthood.

“For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)” Romans 5:17.

Prayer: Father thank you for being the Almighty, higher than the highest; you have made us a royal priesthood to yourself to reign on the earth. Grace to serve we receive, wisdom to reign today we ask in Jesus name.

REIGN ON THE EARTH

And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof:for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests:and we shall reign on the earth. Revelation 5:9-10.

One of the things that never ceases in heaven is singing. There is no dull moment in heaven and a new sung is the norm not the exception. The moments are electric, the songs are glorious and the celebration never end. It’s impossible to be depressed seated in heavenly places by Christ Jesus. Praising and worshiping God and singing a new song to him and opening the redemption package. We are enthroned as kings as priest to reign on the earth by redemption. Without the backing of heaven, we cannot reign on the earth.

We are made kings and priests in heaven to reign on the earth.

The seals are off the book, the royal priesthood status of the redeemed is revealed. You’re no longer a common or ordinary believer but a royal priesthood. The understanding of your identity changes your outlook in life. You’re not on the earth to exist and expire, you belong to royalty, a partaker in the heavenly palaces and places sent on assignment on earth. Your life ought to be peculiar at every turn as a special persons on the earth.

God has invested so much in you by redemption that we must show forth his praises in our lifestyle. We are too endowed by redemption to live like nonentities on the earth. Our heavenly seat or enthronement is not maintained by achievements but by obedience. Make your life count on earth; I am here to make a mark, reign on the earth.

“But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: Ephesians 2:4-6.

Prayer: Thank you father for qualifying us to be kings and priests to reign on the earth. I am not on the earth to belong but to manifest my identity on the earth in Jesus name.

REIGN IN LIFE!

For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) Romans 5:17.

One of the questions you don’t want to be asked is who is your father? Especially when you have done something wrong requiring punishment. That was the favourite phrase of one of my school teachers when he’s about to use the cane and that earned him a name” bull you” actually he was trying to say “who born you?” By the lineage of sin we were born into a generation of servitude and suffering. That was the norm rather than the exception; sin and death reigned. By redemption, we’re born into the reigning lifestyle by abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness.

We are redeemed from slavery and suffering to serve the living God. Reigning in life is not by chance, it’s by redemption connection.

Redemption therefore is not a reduction but an elevation in status. Earthlings become heavenly individuals, mortals are translated to immortal beings. Being seated in heavenly places by Christ Jesus is our enthronement to reign in life. We are seated together to enjoy the privilege of reigning together. We cannot reign alone but together with him. Those that are born again reign again by Christ Jesus.

It is impossible to reign in life without the enthronement of redemption to the heavenly places. Redemption terminates slavery, suffering and human with divine nature. Reign in life by Christ Jesus.

“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises:that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”2 Peter 1:3-4.

Prayer: My dear Father, thank you for bringing me into the lineage of kings by the new birth. I am raised up together to sit together in heavenly places and reign together by Christ Jesus my Lord.

SEATED TOGETHER

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: Ephesians 2:4-6.

The concept of being seated in heavenly places send jitters through some people’s spine. Which heaven are they talking about? I thought heaven is a place where dead persons. The last time they heard of heaven was at someone’s graveside. The idea of sitting together in heavenly places does not match their philosophy of heaven.

The other “heaven” that some others wish for is an utopian society. This is a state of idealistic perfection obtainable in their wishes. These understanding are futuristic, redemption grants access to heavenly places in Christ Jesus in the present.

“Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:”Colossians 1:12-14.

Redemption translates the worldly to the heavenly; a sudden change of position. Heaven is the heritage of the saints and that not in the future but in the present. One of the first signs of redemption is the reality of heaven. Heaven is the headquarters of the kingdom of God and the dwelling place of God. Those that dwell in heavenly places are more interested in pleasing God than men.

The heavenly values become the impetus to doing everything right. You cannot be seated in heaven and not have a heavenly consciousness. While all look up to the sky and clouds, some are looking down from their seated position in heavenly places. Whatever is in Christ is yours to enjoy; seated together.

Prayer: Father God, thank you for making your dwelling place accessible to the redeemed giving them your life, nature and abilities. Your kingdom has come, those that are seated with Christ in heavenly places reign in life by the same Christ our lord.

SEATED IN HEAVEN.

I am not a stranger to heaven, I am seated with Christ in heavenly places. This kind of statement get some people edges about Christian believers. How can you seated with Christ in heavenly places? But that is exactly what redemption gives to us. We are translated from the earth to heavenly places. We are no longer strangers or visitors but fellow-citizens with the saints. I am a stranger and pilgrim on the earth but at home in heaven. By the implication of proximity, whatever is in Christ is mine to take and enjoy. It’s an error to be seated in heavenly places and be under pressure on earth.

I am not a visitor to heaven,,my seated position grants me a residency permit. Everyone seated in heavenly places stand out in any nation under heaven as a heaven ambassador.

“Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;”Ephesians 2:19-20.

It would be wrong to deny what redemption has procured for us. The riches of redemption is so much that it makes one live in wonder. It’s not only about our father who art in heave, or Jesus who is in heaven; it’s about us seated with Christ in heavenly places. Heaven is not only accessible, its your dwelling place. Those that are seated in heavenly places live by heavenly resources. You have been left behind on the earth, but a partaker heaven on earth.

In prayer we ask, and heaven responds, we seek and are shown the way to go and we knock on doors that open effortlessly. There cannot be prayer, if heaven was not real. Don’t bother arguing about the reality of heaven, I am a citizen, seated in heavenly places and my father answers prayers.

“Do not err, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.” James 1:16-18.

Prayer: Dear father, I am grateful for the honour and privilege given by redemption to be seated in heavenly places by Christ Jesus. I am not a stranger, but a fellow citizen of heaven with all the saints. Thank you for making heavenly resources accessible to men in Jesus name.

LOOK UP AND GO UP.

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Psalms 121:1-3.

Disappointment is a strong force, it’s not a so pleasant experience. It actually reveals where many people trust in. Trust is sacred, when it’s broken, many find it hard to trust again. If you’re not looking up, you’re either looking down or around. Looking down is an expression of disappointment, looking up is trusting the divine. Governments, family, religion, organizations, corporations are trusted, sometimes trust is broken and disappointment sets in.

So who is going to help, when the most trusted ones fail? Facts are failing, they are actually programmed to fail, maybe it’s a good time to take the truth more seriously; look up!

Heaven is not a fact, nor a farce neither a fairytale, it is the truth. When the facts of life expire, the truths of God remains. Turn your disappointments on the facts of life to a heavenly opportunity. Those that look up obtain the help of God from above. Many have gone abroad looking for what can only be found above. Heaven is not being advertised to entice you but to enhance you irrespective of location. Heaven is home to every good and perfect gift from God. There is nothing needed by man that heaven cannot supply. God cannot lie and you will not be disappointed both in life and afterlife.

Those that look up go up beyond the limits of humanity to the sufficiency of divinity. Heaven is not just a place or home, it’s the source of every needed resource. If heaven cannot help you, you’re for ever helpless; look up and go up.

“In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour; “Titus 1:2-3.

Prayer: Father thank you for giving us heaven to look up to. Many that have been disappointed by the fact of life are searching for reason for living. May they find your matchless resource in Christ and as they look up may they go up in Jesus name.

FACT OR TRUTH OF LIFE.

Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. 1 Corinthians 1:20-21.

We live in a world of facts; superior facts rule the world. The process of establishing a fact is known. It starts with an observation, then repeated to becomes a hypothesis, tested to a theory and confirmed into a law. Fact remain until a superior fact is found, the world is always looking for more facts.

The interesting thing about facts is that they are always in evolution, transient and short lived. The law of gravity states that every object that goes up must come down to the earth. This law precludes that any object would fly or remain airborne. This fact remained until the law of flight was discovered, objects do fly and defy the law of gravity.

Facts are not the truths, the facts keep changing and that is challenging to live by them.

“Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.”John 18:37.

Truth remains even as the facts change, truth never changes. While some have given themselves to the quest of being abreast with facts, others have appetite for the truth. While facts and more facts is the language of those on earth, the truth is the signature of heaven.

Facts fail, many are frustrated living by the facts of life, it doesn’t add up. What was true yesterday becomes a lie today and the cycle continues. Truth is the law of life, it stands the test of time and eternity. Stop wasting your time running after facts; connect to the truth.

Truth is the signature of heaven and Jesus Christ is the truth personified. When the facts fail, the truth is reinforced. Every word of God is true.

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”John 14:6.

Prayer: Father, your word is true, truth is the signature of your dwelling place. Thank you for saving us from a world of facts that fail into an eternal kingdom that never fail in Jesus name.

SPARE PARTS FACTORY

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Psalms 121:1-3.

Manufacturing is big business, from the raw materials, finished products are made. As part of maintaining a production line, spare parts are made. This continues for many years after the debut of the production line. God is the creator of everything in heaven and on earth, man is included. Everything was created before man, all that was needed for his sufficiency. God also takes the responsibility of sustaining the life of man. Just like any other manufacturer, he provides spare parts for damaged organs, tissue and cells from his spare parts factory.

Someone may ask, where is God’s production line and spare parts factory? The simplistic answer is heaven. Whatever is bad or malfunctioning is replaced by good and perfect spares.

Now you know that heaven is not empty, and the needs of man are always met from above. There is nothing needed by man that is a need to God. Man is not created to live by himself, he is made to be interdependent on God. There is nothing needed by man that is lacking or heaven cannot provide. Spare kidneys for damaged ones, spare limbs, eyes, brains, or hearts; everything. God is the creator and recreator of man; we are his responsibility, not his burden. His word is the tool for the creation and recreation; the church is the agent for heavenly spare parts.

Next time you come accross a heaven ignoramus, tell him it’s a spare parts factory for life. Just lift up your eyes and ask for help, answers awaits your desires.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.”John 1:1-3.

Prayer: Dear father, thank you for providing in heaven a bank of spare parts for life. There is no life too damaged to be recovered, and no man too messed up to be recreated. Thank you again and again in Jesus name.

LOOKING UP; ASK AND RECEIEVE

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Psalms 121:1-3.

The limits of human and natural resources open the vista for heavenly resources. If earthly resource is sufficient, there would be no occasion for the heavenly. Men always look to where their resources are; where a man’s treasure, there also is his heart. Where are your treasures? Education, qualifications, trainings, skills, government, nations and the like. While these are not bad in themselves, they may not sufficiently meet the needs of man.

The hills are serene and have some aesthetic value but my helper is in heaven.

It takes heaven resource to meet all the needs of man on earth. The maker of heaven and earth has too many resources to meet all my needs. Man has a limit to meeting his needs, God has no limit to meeting the needs of man. Life is a gift, being alive is the proof that the gift has been received. Many are troubled by their inability to meet all their needs, you are not created to meet all your needs hence the heavenly provisions.

The greatest gift are received not obtained by human effort; ask and receieve. Those that look up never lack heavenly resources on earth. For those that have looked everywhere but up, maybe that’s why your needs have not been met. There is nothing needed by man that cannot be met by God.

“And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. Give us day by day our daily bread.”Luke 11:2-3.

Prayer: My father in heaven, it’s not your wish that any should lack good thing, but that they should be abundantly supplied. Those that look up never lack heavenly goods. He that asks receives from your storehouses in Jesus name.
