THE UNTOLD STORY

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. Luke 6:38.

Giving and receiving is the law of life. It is also the law of the kingdom of God and it works. Many have engaged in this mystery to become very rich & prosperous. Some persons have charity organizations as part of their corporations. This is the secret of sustainable riches and generational wealth.

The poor think that saving is the recipe to riches while the wise know that giving is the recipe to wealth. There’s no giving that is not followed by receiving, it’s the law! Whether charity, alms, offerings, tithes or sacrifice; giving is the sure path to receiving.

What have you given? What percentage of your income is given out?

“When the ear heard me, then it blessed me; and when the eye saw me, it gave witness to me: Because I delivered the poor that cried, and the fatherless, and him that had none to help him. The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me: and I caused the widow’s heart to sing for joy.”Job 29:11-13.

The story of Job has been read by some but the secret is unknown to many. Why was Job the richest man in the east? What preserved his wealth? Apart from his relationship with God, many are unaware of his charity. He was blessed of God and of man; not lip service, they blessed him genuinely. The poor, the fatherless and him that had none to help were his favourites.
Even on the death-bed, Job was on their lips, the widows were not left behind. This does not sound like a story for the big screen but the secret of the great. This is the untold story of Job, a lesson that has been validated in every generation.

Do some maths, who is the richest man in the world? What is the size of his charity? Giving is synonymous with receiving, keeping is the highway to lack & want.

“There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty. The liberal soul shall be made fat:
and he that watereth shall be watered also himself. He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.”Proverbs 11:24-26.

Prayer: Dear father, you’re the only wise God and the giver of life & the greatest giver ever. Giving is your nature, receiving is the law of life; your throne is sustained by the same. May our giving to the poor come up as a memorial before you in Jesus name.

MEMORIAL BEFORE GOD

And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living. Mark 12:42-44.

While it is difficult for some to empty their pockets in church even if commanded by God, some are voluntarily giving their livelihood to God.
A song I learnt many years ago says –“Take my life and let it be, consecrated lord to thee, take my moments and my days let them flow in ceaseless praise”
Those that give their life to God can give anything to please God. Jesus was overlooking the treasury and watching as gifts were being cast. Even today, he sees everything that is being cast into the offering baskets in every congregation. Even though the poor widow cast in the least, her giving was the most. It is not about the volume of your gifts, it’s about the value of the gift. Acceptable giving must be cheerful, voluntary, honourable & sacrificial to be received into God’s storehouse.  Let your giving attract heavens attention! Your gifts speaks for you before God.

“A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway. He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius. And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.”Acts 10:2-4.

While the gift of the poor to God attracts heavens attention, the gift to the poor also does the same; memorials before God. Giving to the poor may attract many likes on social media but without heaven’s attention there is no reward.
Cornelius was a man that enjoyed supernatural encounter by his prayer and alms giving habit. Giving to the poor is an important avenue of laying treasures in heaven. The poor look up to God for their open heaven supplies, those that give to them lend to God and are paid back with interest. The widow gave all, Cornelius gives alms; both enjoyed the open heaven; they never lacked the good measure pressed down shaken together and running over.

“He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.”Proverbs 19:17.

Prayers: father God, you’re the one to whom prayers, offerings, tithes and alms giving come to. Every giving that receives heavens attention obtains your reward. May my prayers and alms come to you as a memorial in Jesus name.

HONOURABLE GIVING

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. Luke 6:38.

One person told two of his friends that he emptied his pocket in Church and a discourse ensued. Why did you empty your pocket in church when you know that you have so much to do with money today. I felt compelled to do so and at has peace after doing so. That must have been the devil one of his friends replied and another said that the devil will  not allow you to empty your pocket instead he would discourage you.
Have you ever emptied your pocket in Church? Yes, I have, what about you?

This is the perception that has kept many from giving to God genuinely from their heart. The devil have approved channels for receiving his gifts which is known to many; God has his own ways which has been from the beginning. The sanctuary is God’s collection point of the treasures on the earth.

“But I have all, and abound:I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God. But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”Philippians 4:18-19.

Many have thought that this verse is used to lure persons to give to God. Many have even reported it as a means of Spiritual 419 or advance fee fraud. That maybe true if the gift is to the person preaching the verses and not to God. Every believer needs to be aware of how giving and receiving is administered in his local congregation. If your giving is to the pockets of a “preacher” and not the work of ministry, receiving from heaven could be a pipe dream. Every giving that enters the storehouse receives an open heaven reward. Giving must be cheerful, voluntary, honourable & sacrificial to be received into God’s storehouse.
The devil is not holding a fundraiser for gospel expansion, it’s ensuring that believers do not understand the principle of giving and receiving. Those that give as commanded receive the reward as promised; please don’t waste your giving, give as commanded in honour to God.

“Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.” Proverbs 3:9-10.

Prayer: Father thank you for not being the robber of men but the rewarder of our giving. Our gifts of love procure, good measure pressed down shaken together and running over rewards. We receive for our giving today more than we can calculate in Jesus name.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS APPLY

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. Luke 6:38.

There are terms and conditions are usually attached to most products & services. The challenge is that many either do not know or willingly ignore them. At the end of every advert promising mouthwatering rewards, the same slogan is usually recited.

So, what’s the terms and conditions? Giving is always followed by receiving. Giving and receiving is the law of the kingdom of God, the channels are well prescribed. Expecting to receive without giving is tantamount to robbery. Every type of giving has terms and conditions that apply.Every giver receives good measure, pressed down shaken together and running over portion from men.
The law of giving and the law of receiving cannot be broken irrespective of status.

“Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” Malachi 3:10.

Tithe is the ticket to open the windows of heaven, that’s the product it delivers. The term and condition is that it must come first before you spend the rest. The tenth is a commandment and if the honour of coming first is not met the open heaven reward maybe missed.
I receive pay slips for my salary monthly and the tax & other sundry deductions are made from source. The gross is stated but the net is payed into my bank account; tithe of gross not net is the tithe of all. That makes it easy to calculate all the tithes in addition to gifts and sales which are on record.
The tenth portion of your earnings, increases and profits is the tithe covenant, not more nor less. Let your giving bring honour to God; the terms and conditions apply!

“Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.”Proverbs 3:9-10.

Prayer: Thank you my father for the covenant of tithing as the eternal ticket to open heaven financial experience. Nothing finishes nor diminishes, everything increases and multiplies but the terms and condition must apply. Tithing is the ticket out of tightness in Jesus name.

OPEN THE HEAVEN

Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. Malachi 3:10.

This scripture evokes different response in different minds While the tithe debate was going on in some quarters, I was amused by the discourse. While some persons faith were being strengthened, others fell by the wayside.

There are riches in glory no doubt, giving is the undeniable ticket to access them. God is not in need, he is the one that meets your need. Tithe is giving first and the best to God for a blessing on the rest. The kingdom of God is transactional, tithing is key to covenant connection. This commandment has a prove me now herewith tag or money back guarantee. That i like not it’s administration in some quarters does not change the commandment of scriptures.

For those offended with laying treasures in heaven, keep laying it on earth.

“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Matthew 6:19-21.

Heaven is the storehouse of every treasure, not trash. Tithe is a transaction commanded by God and a sure way of laying treasures in heaven.
Your resources can escape corruption, inflation, liquidation and robbery, but it begins with your tithe. The sanctuary is my storehouse and my resource is in safe hands. Heaven does not need your resources to be great but this is your token to open the windows of heaven.
A blessing without enough room to receive it sounds to me like pressed down shaken together and running over.
The tithe is your ticket to open the heavens; men are under commandment to give to your bosom. Today is a good day for an open heaven experience; supplies by surprise!

“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”Luke 6:38.

Prayer: Father thank you for teaching me how to give like yourself. Because you gave, now we can give also as commanded to open the windows of heaven as promised. May the open heaven experience be the portion of everyone that genuinely gives his tithe as promised in Jesus name.

TREASURE NOT TRASH

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Matthew 6:19-21.

Have you seen someone who operates a bank account without knowledge of the bank’s name or the type of account? So also, no one can operate the kingdom account without knowledge. How do we lay up treasures in heaven? What is your most important commodity? Lay up could mean save for future use, invest for interest or future dividends.

It may come as a surprise to some that heaven is a storehouse of treasures not trash and also an investment haven. Many are afraid to save money in the banks because of the effect of inflation Many save in more stable currencies and offshore accounts for value.
Jesus is saying heaven has the best value, interest rate and dividends paid.

“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”Luke 6:38.

Giving is living, it is a means whereby treasures are laid up in heaven. Giving is generic, what, how, where and to whom is given determines its value. Giving begins with your heart or your life, this is the greatest treasure of man. Until the heart is given, every other gift by the hand is a donation not a treasure. The giving channels are tithe, offerings (worship, welfare, widows, alms e.t.c) and sacrifice The heart is where the treasure lies; the hand follows the heart.

God is not only interested in what is in the hand but where your heart is. Gold, silver, diamonds are good, but nothing compares with a heartfelt gift. Heaven is the storehouse of treasures, they are never forgotten.

“The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee; Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion; Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.” Psalms 20:1-3.

HELP FROM ABOVE

The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee; Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion; Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah. Psalms 20:1-3.

One of the things i hate to do is to be on a long ATM queue. It becomes even more disturbing when one person spends over 5 minutes on the machine making several failed transactions. Everyone becomes alert as that could mean that the machine has run out of cash. It becomes very annoying when the notice given by the machine is insufficient funds.
Whose deposit were you planning to withdraw from? Obviously not mine. God is more transactional than the banking system; without deposits and genuine connection to the kingdom, help from the sanctuary is a pipe dream.

Help has a price tag; your offerings and burnt sacrifice are tokens for remembrance. He is the God of all, a father to his children and a helper to kingdom seekers.

“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”Matthew 6:19-21

The most sensitive part of a bank is the vault, it has layers of security and limited accessibility. Heaven has storehouses where the riches or treasures are kept and accounted for reward free from corruption, inflation and recession. If you don’t have kingdom accounts, furnished by your offerings and burnt sacrifice please exit the help line. The thought that everything about God is free is an error; even salvation is paid for by the blood of Jesus and believing a must to be saved.
Expecting the help of God without accepting responsibility of relationship is robbery. Help from the sanctuary is available but accessible to those whose kingdom accounts are funded.God is not in need of help, giving is the sure path to receiving help; good measure pressed down, shaken together and running over.

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”Luke 6:38.

Prayer: Father thank you for being my help from the sanctuary. The sanctuary is also my storehouse or treasure base. I have help beyond and above the trouble, and am too defended to be a victim. Thank you father in Jesus name.

RICHES IN GLORY

But I have all, and abound:I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God. But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Philippians 4:18-20.

Glory is another word used in lieu of heaven; they can be used interchangeably. Philipians 4:19 is one of the scriptures known to Christians and non Christians alike. Although the depths of understanding is different and belief in this scripture varied. God wants to supply all your needs, not some; do you believe that? Many have trusted God to meet their needs and were not disappointed. One of my friends says this “there are enough riches in glory to go round, not many subscribe to it

Apostle Paul was a man that enjoyed these riches in glory without fail. He never lacked, he had all in abundance and was full of substance. Riches in glory are not released spontaneously but on request. Those that follow divine instructions and directions have unlimited access.

“So he went and did according unto the word of the Lord:for he went and dwelt by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan. And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook.”1 Kings 17:5-6.

Following the word of God gives you access to supplies by surprise. Even in scarcity and drought, the riches in glory are not affected. Elijah was such a man that enjoyed the riches in glory by following the word of God. If he did not go to where the supplies were waiting he would have been in lack. Ravens are not the most friendly of birds neither are they generous to share with others much more man. They were commanded to feed him morning and evening; supplies by surprise.

I don’t know how your needs shall be met but I know he has promised to meet all your needs if only you can trust him. God does not withhold good from his children, he wants us to enjoy not endure.

“Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”Matthew 6:31-33.

Prayer: Dear father, thank you for supplying all my needs by the riches in glory. Even in famine, drought and scarcity, the riches in glory are unaffected. Those that seek the kingdom never lack any good thing in Jesus name.

ROYAL PRIESTHOOD

And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof:for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests:and we shall reign on the earth. Revelation 5:9-10.

One of the choices I make daily is that of either being the boss (Oga) or the servant (minister). It’s very interesting to be the boss as everyone bow to your opinion, character and personality without contest. It’s is however more rewarding being the minister who serves everyone first before self; moderating over diverse opinions to bring out the best from all. Kings & priests are the status granted by redemption in Christ.

The thought of being a king according to scriptures make some proud as they seek opportunity to humiliate or even exploit others who are regarded as subjects. Redemption enthrones us as kings and priests; royal priesthood in Christ. We serve others by the gift of grace and rewarded by the God of our salvation. I am a king and a priest unto our God to reign on the earth. I am not the Oga, I am the servant leader in my field of endeavour.

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God:which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.”1 Peter 2:9-10.

Kings are enthroned to reign over nations, a cities or a regions. Royalty is usually associated with the retinue of servants and support staff at the beck and call of those enthroned. Their word is law and he or she must be obeyed.

We are seated in heavenly places by Christ Jesus as kings and priests to God to reign in righteousness. This is a different kind of royalty, connected to the highest yet serving men by the grace of God and reconnecting back to God. There is no royalty greater than the most high, king of kings and lord of lords. We are totally submissive to the almighty and highest to reign on the earth. We reign in life by obedience to God and service to men; service is the reigning key.

God is still in control but we are in charge on the earth as royal priesthood.

“For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)” Romans 5:17.

Prayer: Father thank you for being the Almighty, higher than the highest; you have made us a royal priesthood to yourself to reign on the earth. Grace to serve we receive, wisdom to reign today we ask in Jesus name.
