Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. Luke 6:38.
Giving and receiving is the law of life. It is also the law of the kingdom of God and it works. Many have engaged in this mystery to become very rich & prosperous. Some persons have charity organizations as part of their corporations. This is the secret of sustainable riches and generational wealth.
The poor think that saving is the recipe to riches while the wise know that giving is the recipe to wealth. There’s no giving that is not followed by receiving, it’s the law! Whether charity, alms, offerings, tithes or sacrifice; giving is the sure path to receiving.
What have you given? What percentage of your income is given out?
“When the ear heard me, then it blessed me; and when the eye saw me, it gave witness to me: Because I delivered the poor that cried, and the fatherless, and him that had none to help him. The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me: and I caused the widow’s heart to sing for joy.”Job 29:11-13.
The story of Job has been read by some but the secret is unknown to many. Why was Job the richest man in the east? What preserved his wealth? Apart from his relationship with God, many are unaware of his charity. He was blessed of God and of man; not lip service, they blessed him genuinely. The poor, the fatherless and him that had none to help were his favourites.
Even on the death-bed, Job was on their lips, the widows were not left behind. This does not sound like a story for the big screen but the secret of the great. This is the untold story of Job, a lesson that has been validated in every generation.
Do some maths, who is the richest man in the world? What is the size of his charity? Giving is synonymous with receiving, keeping is the highway to lack & want.
“There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty. The liberal soul shall be made fat:
and he that watereth shall be watered also himself. He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.”Proverbs 11:24-26.
Prayer: Dear father, you’re the only wise God and the giver of life & the greatest giver ever. Giving is your nature, receiving is the law of life; your throne is sustained by the same. May our giving to the poor come up as a memorial before you in Jesus name.
