And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the Lord ‘s. Obadiah 1:21
Who is a saviour? A question that might seem odd but needs to be answered. One that dies that all might live, a ransom for many, standing in your stead. Saviours suggest more than one not singular; saviours come from Zion. In every generation God sends a saviour, a redeemer that stands in the stead of many.
A look through the old testament reveals lots of saviours sent at one time or the other hence the plurality to the word. Death terminated their continuation. A saviour is different from a hero; the saviour takes the place of the saved. He saves one and all at once by paying a price too heavy to bear by the victim.
One of the saviours in scriptures is Joseph, the one that was sold into slavery in Potiphar’s house, imprisoned and taken to the palace to become a prime minister in Egypt. The saviours in scripture were Christ Jesus in prophecy; the living redeemer.
“And Joseph said unto them, Fear not:for am I in the place of God? But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.”Genesis 50:19-20.
Saviours turn around life situations, evil is turned to live and good. Every saviour in scripture was sent to a particular place for a specific assignment. Joseph was sent to Egypt to save the lives of many by a divine plan.
Saviours are custodians of the master plan of God on the earth and sent as solution providers to the world in every generation. Saviours are the solutions sent by God to every generation. They allay the fears, trepidation of the people sent to save.
God also have not left us without a witness, the saviour is also his Son. Jesus Christ is sent as the saviour of the world, the last in the series, the first and the last. Redemption is the path of exemption, salvation is God’s all purpose plan. The plan was completed before the plaque; redemption is for exemption.
The redeemer lives.
“And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”John 3:14-16.
Prayer:
Thank you father for the living saviour and redeemer Jesus Christ my lord. I am exempted from evil by the force of redemption and given life abundance by his salvation. Redemption plan is the cure of every curse by the same Christ Jesus.
