And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it:and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. Genesis 1:28.
The first thing bestowed on man soon after creation is the blessing. That gives credence to the import of being blessed in life and having blessing first.
It’s imperative that blessing has only one unique source and that is God.
Man is blessed before receiving his assignment on the earth. Blessing is empowerment to prosper, increase, multiply, grow and dominate. You’re not blessed by what you have or have not but by the word of God. The word of God says “Be fruitful and multiply” that is not a suggestion but a commandment.
Many are not fruitful nor do they multiply being disconnected from the source of blessing.
This commandment does not require a conducive atmosphere nor is limited by political correctness.
“And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar. And the Lord appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:”Genesis 26:1-2.
I think that one of the travesties in this generation is poverty in spite of politically correctness.
Prosperity does not have political affiliation neither poverty. I was gleefully informed by a close friend and relative that he has prospered the most under the most economically naive government in town.
This I have always believed that austerity is opportunity for prosperity by the covenant. The covenant blessing is beyond economics, politics, profession, location, gender, race and ethnicity.
The blessing is validated even in drought, famine, economic bust and scarcity.
The blessing is not in Dollars neither is poverty in Naira, the blessed are the best everywhere and anywhere; be blessed first.
“And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God. Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.”Deuteronomy 28:2-4.
Dear father, it’s so pleasant to know that I am blessed, not by anything I have done but by your design and desire. I am blessed anywhere and everywhere in Jesus name.
