But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 1 Corinthians 15:20-22.
About the time of my graduation from Med school came news from some of our brethren that have left school. “The music is good, the place is cozy, a lot of young people attend, some celebrities could be seated next to you. The sound is superb, the preaching gets you out of your seat and shouting, it’s a cool place to be” That was a report from the field, a new congregation in town. So everyone who went to town checked it out, it was better than described. Just one caveat, a place to belong, not a place to be saved & made alive to God.
Salvation is the prerequisite to true worship; only those who are alive in spirit connect to the father of Spirits. In Adam all died, without a salvation encounter, life cannot count in God. Without a definite salvation experience, you’re a number, not a member. When were you saved? Or just attending church. Questions begging for answers
“Ye worship ye know not what:we know what we worship:for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth:for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit:and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”John 4:22-24.
Without salvation, we are dead in sins and music becomes noise. Every son of Adam is spiritually dead, disconnected from the life and nature of God. Resurrection connects the spiritually dead and physically alive to the father of Spirits. It’s a tragedy to be in church but not in touch, after a while it becomes the norm and the thought that everyone is the same. Worshipping God is not spiritual, it’s for living human spirits. God is a Spirit, worshipped by men who have his spirit; not men on suits. It takes more than good suits, sound, music, dance, comedy, panache to worship.
Resurrection power give life to dead human spirits to be in touch with God, not just in church. Only those that are raised from the dead worship God in spirit and truth.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:9-10.
Prayer: Dear father of Spirits, I thank you for the resurrection power in Christ Jesus. I am raised from death in Adam to life in Christ. Now can I worship in spirit and truth. Thank you again and again in Jesus name.
