Sight is right

The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined. Isaiah 9:2.

One of the common habits in darkness is guesswork. For lack of sight, other senses are heightened to become operative; but none can replace the sight. It’s like the case of the blind men that “saw”the elephant.  Everyone had an opinion of what the elephant felt like, none had a complete or composite picture of the elephant. Their guess was as good as the body part of the elephant that they felt. Feelings became their sight, the sense of touch replaced the sight of life. Living is not a guess, life is not a game of chance or feelings.

Trusting your opinion or taking your hunches, intuition for a fact maybe the recipe for disaster. Those that dwell in the dark trust their senses, in the light sight is right.

“But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.”Proverbs 4:18-19.

Walking by the senses is the cause of stumbling, light makes sight possible. It’s impossible to stumble over what you see nor tumble over known obstacles. 

The great light of Christ grants all round vision of life. After being accustomed to tunnel vision in darkness, telescopic sight is granted in the light. Light grants the ability to see both far and near, guesswork is not needed. In the light everything becomes visible even things that were hitherto invisible. Peep and mutter no more, guesses are not needed, light has come.

The highways of light is your sure path to the expected end. Your guesses end when the light of Christ appears.Your path of life is shown in the light; light is the ticket to be right in life.

“For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”Psalms 16:10-11.

Prayer

Thank you father for the undeniable effect of light in life. Guesses are terminated by direction, confusion by instruction by the light of Christ. My thanks know no bound in Jesus name.

The Light Highway

The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined. Isaiah 9:2.

Life is dynamic, whenever life comes to a standstill or downslide, darkness is at work. What is delivered by light is also sustained by the same light. It’s a common knowledge to say that there is light at the end of the tunnel. However some tunnels are lit, light does not have to be at the end but the beginning of the journey

Many have endured darkness insomuch that it’s expected and respected. Going down the dark tunnels is the norm rather than the exception. Darkness is not in his plan, light is the plan of God for you. He lights you up for a lighted path and to a listed end. Light defines you always, you’re born into light.

Salvation begins with a light encounter, light is your right to life.

“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”2 Corinthians 4:3-4.

Salvation is light encounter, Christ is the light of God. The light sought and seen in darkness is Christ Jesus. Those that encounter this light have the light of life for life. Waiting for light is the norm in darkness, having light always is the gift of salvation. 

No more darkness, no more blindness, no more restriction, it’s the Iight way. Brightness and brilliance is the new norm in the light. Just as darkness has been endured, it’s your turn to dwell in the light highway.

The gospel of Christ is the light way for a shining life. Wickedness is terminated by the light of the gospel on the highways of light.

“But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.”Proverbs 4:18-19.

Prayer

Dear father, I thank you for bright and shining pathways of life available only in Christ. Darkness is left behind, wickedness is disappointed by the light of life on Jesus name.

LOST BUT FOUND

Lost but found is the phrase we used in school when a lost item is found. When a property or material which is not your is found, the finder raises the object in class and to the sight of all announces lost but found. This action forestalls occasion for the wrong person to claim ownership of the found item.

Darkness is one of the reason for loosing items, things and materials. Anything and everything can be lost in the dark, finding them attracts great joy. Light is a necessity for sight, also for finding lost items. When light arrives, what was lost is found effortlessly.

Christ is the light of life, whatever is lost in life is found in Christ.

“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 3:18.

Darkness has a right to continue until the light of Christ comes. Whatever darkness has obscured, light discovers. Light makes all the difference, it terminates the reign of darkness Whatever is celebrated in darkness is terminated by the light.

Change your status by changing your orientation form darkness into light. Light is the end and the cure of darkness; Christ is the lord of light and gives light to all. Light up, life begins with light encounter. Darkness will never return, light has come to stay.

And the light shines in darkness. Whatever has been lost to darkness is hereby discovered in the light.

“In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.”John 1:4-5.

Prayer

Thank you father for the gift of light, I am lost but found by the light of Christ. Light that reveals and unveils is my portion for life in Jesus name.

Light Lease and Release

“A bird raised in a cage thinks that flying is a disease” was a phrase I noticed shared by a friend on his facebook page. I gave it a long thought, liked and saved it for periodic contemplation.

It’s both a truism and the truth, dwelling in darkness is the status symbol of some persons lifestyle. The eyes get accommodated or adjusted to darkness, a new norm. Walking in darkness is a lifestyle of learned helplessness. It’s a place of being stranded, a point of inactivity and inaction.

Darkness is both palpable and visible but more so the effects are damaging. The greatest prison is not made of walls, it’s formed of darkness. It’s a tool for brainwashing, deleting and relearning.Right becomes wrong, good is turned to bad, truth is turned to evil.

“And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days: They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days:but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.” Exodus 10:22-23.

No matter how dark it is or was, the entrance of light terminates its effect and influence instantly.  The duration of darkness does not limit the influence or effect of light entrance. The release from darkness is instant and permanent.

Darkness is permissible until light enters. There is no contention between darkness and light, darkness has no choice  when light arrives. The gospel is the agent of deliverance from every darkness. This is the light of life, it’s light for life.

The gospel light saves, heals, delivers from every captivity. Christ gives us the gospel light lease and release from captivity.

“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”2 Corinthians 4:3-4.

Prayer.

Dear father, I am thankful that darkness has lost its lease on my life. Light has my lease and it’s my release from every darkness, to your honour and glory in Jesus name.

Revealed and Unveiled

And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead? To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. Isaiah 8:19-20.

It’s very easier these days to seek those that have familiar spirits, they’re just a phone call away. It was a major exercise to get across to them in the past; a long drive, walking and passing through hard to reach areas in some society. A blind unkempt sickly old man maybe the final destination. That was then, the trade is now repackaged and professional in outlook. Seminars, meetings, training workshops and consultations are the norm. Business cards, office addresses and advertisements are included. 

Darkness is not relenting, it’s reinventing itself. Everyone in the dark is blind, no matter the packaging, it’s discovered by the light. To peep and mutter are now shared as principles that have no light in them.

Darkness cannot be attractive! Light is always magnetic! I used to think that blind means lack of eyes instead of lack of sight until I saw persons with eyes but cannot see. 

What you see determines who you are. We all look, not everyone has sight, seeing defines the outlook. Without light, sight is impossible, Christ is the light of life. A fancy suit or being good looking with a rehearsed accent is not enough. Sight makes all the difference, Christ makes men see. Light is the cure, darkness ends when light comes.

It’s you time to see, hear and understand your reason for living. Light reveals and unveils, Christ is the light if life.

Prayer

I am indeed delighted dear father to know that light is opposite of darkness. The light reveals and unveils my glorious destiny by the same Jesus Christ.

MIRROR ON THE WALL

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit:for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 1 Corinthians 2:9-10.

I watched few films as a child, many are remarkable and remembered till date, others have been forgotten. I grew up in an age when television was for the rich and public TV stations were available for eight hours. From black and white to coloured pictures, it was a delight to watch.

In one of the films screened, I remember this phrase “mirror mirror what do you see” The story of an evil queen, a magic mirror and the fairest in the land. Pardon me if you watched it on HD, I watched on black and white box TV. A mirror ought to show reflection of your image but this mirror gives perception of the fairest in the land.

“They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.” Psalms 34:5.

Many are still stuck to the big screen looking for meaning and reason for living. Just like the evil queen addicted to being the fairest in the land, someone fairer has been born. The word of God is the mirror of life, Christ Jesus is the word of God. Those that look unto him are enlightened with the picture of the future. We are formed to be conformed to the image of the son of God.

Salvation is enlistment into the process, Christ becomes the mirror on the wall. The path of your life are not obscured but revealed in Christ. The picture on the wall is Christ, he gives grace and glory It’s by him, for him, through him and in him we are. It’s not just duplication or reflection but conformation to Christ; look and live!

 “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called:and whom he called, them he also justified:and whom he justified, them he also glorified.” Romans 8:29-30

Prayer:

Thank you father for the word of life that is the mirror and guide through the labyrinth of life. Nothing is obscured, hidden or veiled, everything is revealed by a look to the mirror on the wall. Thank you lord Jesus for being my light and salvation.

SALVATION AGENDA

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:12-13.

One of the things that come to mind when sonship is discussed is the issue of gender bias. We live in a patriarchal society however, God has no gender bias.

Natural birth assigns gender but not spiritual birth. Sons are born from both males and females. Every child is equally important to God, sonship has no gender bias. As many that received Christ become sons of God. He does not need more or less power to make sons of God from any gender. Sonship therefore is the symbol of equality, purpose for living is all that matters. Redemption showcases the fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of men.

“For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called:and whom he called, them he also justified:and whom he justified, them he also glorified.” Romans 8:29-30.

Redemption is not gender biased nor sensitive. Sons is the generic term for both sons and daughters of the kingdom. The blessing and heritage of redemption is not tied to gender but to the creator. There is no purpose of God restricted to gender nor his plan limited by the same.

Whom he foreknew, he predestinated, called, justified and glorified.  Someone humorously said that your gender is the advantage to your purpose. Remember, you’re defined by purpose and glorified by his calling. Every limitation placed by sociocultural recommendations is terminated by redemption. The same Lord is rich to all that call upon him.

God has a salvation agenda, not a gender agenda for our glorification.

“For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek:for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”Romans 10:11-13.

Prayer

Thank you father for the reminder that you’re the same God to all. the power of salvation is to all. Thank you for glorious lifestyle available and accessible by salvation in Jesus name.

SONS ARE BORN

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called:and whom he called, them he also justified:and whom he justified, them he also glorified. Romans 8:29-30.

Someone once wondered why God has so many procedures. A wise man answered, everything has a procedure! The cart cannot be before the horse and become a carriage. 

Every production line has a process that lead to the products so also with God.  Whom he foreknew, he predestinated, called, justified and glorified. That is the process that leads to the products; sons of God. The first part of this process happened long before we were born, the second part is after birth. The birthing process is double not single; natural and spiritual. The first birth is for existence, the second is for sonship.

Sons are born!

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”John 1:12-13.

Christ is the first born of the father, many have been born after him. Being born of blood is the natural birth, everyone is born of a woman. While the will of man is involved in every natural birth, what is formed of God is born.

One can decide to have or not to have children but what is born is God’s heritage. Natural birth is not the conclusion of the process but one step in the process. Being born by the will of God is the platform for a turnaround lifestyle. Sons are born from humankind by receiving the Son of God. Sonship gives access to the life, nature and ability of God. This is is the highest call, this is the greatest quest; sons are born.

“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God:therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.”1 John 3:1.

Prayer:

Thank you father for the heritage of sonship provided for me by Christ Jesus.I am predestinated, predestined, formed to conform by the new birth in Jesus name.

I CALL HIM FATHER

Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars ‘hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious. For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, to the unknown God. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you. Acts 17:22-23.

I am yet to find a tribe or tongue that have no word for God nor having no God in their consciousness. God is well known, even idols are seen as mediums that connect to the almighty. Unfortunately there is no connection but collection. The communication cycle is incomplete if the caller lacks connection to the receiver.

Purpose cannot be fulfilled worshipping the unknown God. He is God to all but father to his sons Sonship is the platform to be connected and collect the purpose of God. Sonship is Gods purpose for everyone formed by him. God’s first call is to sonship for all men, by his first begotten son.  There’s no connection problem here, I call him father.

“For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:” Romans 8:15-16.

Knowing God as God is insufficient for connection and collection of divine purpose. The fearful God is the cause of bondage; sonship is the adoption to liberty. The call connect process is our adoption to purpose.

I call him father! He gives me feathers to fly on the wing of purpose. 

The highest call, the greatest quest is to be called sons of God. Knowing him as God is not enough, the fathers touch is not fearful, it’s lovely. From the father to the son, purpose is released to the world. Only those that connect, collect ; you’re called to collect the heritage of redemption. It’s for sons only and I call him father; my connection to purpose for living. You’ll never miss your way, neither your purpose for living.

No more connection problems.

“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God:therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.”1 John 3:1.

Prayer:

Father I am indeed grateful for your love and mercy that grants us a new status. I am adopted into God’s family and delivered from slavery. My joy know no bounds as i can call him father by Jesus Christ.
