And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec. Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. Hebrews 5:9-11.
Paul is an excellent Bible teacher, about two thirds of new testament is to his credit. The gospel of grace and salvation especially to the Gentiles have roots to his ministry.
On the topic of Christ our saviour and high priest, he had so much to say. He also acknowledged that there are other details hard to be uttered.
Preaching to persons dull of hearing or learning is a lot of work. When the discourse on tithe begun, I noticed just that; itchy ears. Just one thing came to mind, can you pay for your salvation and the answer was no. Should you honour your saviour and the universal response was yes.
Your saviour becomes your high priest and the mediator of the new covenant. This salvation is strictly to those that obey him.
“But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.” Hebrews 12:22-24.
For those that know not what church is about, this is church. It’s a place where heaven meets the earth; heaven on earth. It does not matter what name the congregation takes; it’s church.
An open heaven, a heavenly Jerusalem, uncountable angelic activity, God in action with diverse manifestation of healings, miracles, signs and wonders.
It is also the presence of Jesus, the saviour and high priest and his blood as evidence. It’s also the place of pronouncement of better blessing on those in touch. There is no meeting with God that does not require your gifts.
Every meeting with the high priest is an opportunity to give tithe and offerings. As it was with Abraham, so also with us; my saviour and high priest!
You will not miss the blessing and helps in the sanctuary at your next meeting.
“The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee; Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion; Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.” Psalms 20:1-3
Prayer: Thank you lord for being my saviour and high priest. Thank you for a meeting place with heaven on earth for giving and remembrance of my offerings. Thank you for your continual heavenly help from the sanctuary in Jesus name.
