MY SAVIOUR & HIGH PRIEST.

And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec. Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. Hebrews 5:9-11.

Paul is an excellent Bible teacher, about two thirds of new testament is to his credit. The gospel of grace and salvation especially to the Gentiles have roots to his ministry.

On the topic of Christ our saviour and high priest, he had so much to say. He also acknowledged that there are other details hard to be uttered.

Preaching to persons dull of hearing or learning is a lot of work. When the discourse on tithe begun, I noticed just that; itchy ears. Just one thing came to mind, can you pay for your salvation and the answer was no. Should you honour your saviour and the universal response was yes.

Your saviour becomes your high priest and the mediator of the new covenant. This salvation is strictly to those that obey him.

“But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.” Hebrews 12:22-24.

For those that know not what church is about, this is church. It’s a place where heaven meets the earth; heaven on earth. It does not matter what name the congregation takes; it’s church.

An open heaven, a heavenly Jerusalem, uncountable angelic activity, God in action with diverse manifestation of healings, miracles, signs and wonders.

It is also the presence of Jesus, the saviour and high priest and his blood as evidence. It’s also the place of pronouncement of better blessing on those in touch. There is no meeting with God that does not require your gifts.

Every meeting with the high priest is an opportunity to give tithe and offerings. As it was with Abraham, so also with us; my saviour and high priest!

You will not miss the blessing and helps in the sanctuary at your next meeting.

“The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee; Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion; Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.” Psalms 20:1-3

Prayer: Thank you lord for being my saviour and high priest. Thank you for a meeting place with heaven on earth for giving and remembrance of my offerings. Thank you for your continual heavenly help from the sanctuary in Jesus name.

I HAVE A HIGH PRIEST

And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine:and he was the priest of the most high God. And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all. Genesis 14:18-20.

There are three things required for the administration of the ordinance of tithing. The first is a covenant with God, then a storehouse or sanctuary and a High priest. Abraham saw this opportunity with the appearance of Melchizedek the king of Salem after the breakthrough  defeat of four kings.

Abraham was the first to tithe on record. His tithe was neither food stuff nor crop produce but spoils of war which includes gold, silver, precious stones and goods or victuals. It’s absurd that these people move around with so much treasures on them during warfare. Melchizedek never asked for the gift; it was voluntary and honorable.

The tithe must be received by the high priest into the sanctuary.

“And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on, So that I come again to my father’s house in peace; then shall the Lord be my God: And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God’s house:and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee.” Genesis 28:20-22.

Jacob had an encounter with God culminating in a covenant relationship. In the absence of a sanctuary, he set up a stone for the administration of tithes, offerings and sacrifices. He also made a vow to give the tithe of all his substance and that willingly.

I have a covenant with God, there is a sanctuary and a high priest. My tithe, offering and sacrifice I give willingly.

Just as Melchizedek to Abraham so also Jesus Christ to the new covenant. Those that hoped that God has changed, I guess this may come as a surprise. The high priest, the covenant and the sanctuary are all up and running. Moreso, we have a high priest and saviour that is able to help you always.

You will never lack the help of God from his sanctuary for ever. The heavens are open, your tithe gives or deny your access.

“And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec. Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing” Hebrews 5:9-11.

Prayer; My dear father, thank you for the new covenant, the sanctuary and my high priest and saviour. Now I know that I will never be helpless. My helper is my saviour and high priest in the sanctuary. Thank you for the ever present & resident help in Jesus name.

THE GIFT OF CAIN.

And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering: Genesis 4:3-4.

I think the greater tragedy is not giving to God at all but giving what is not acceptable.

Everyday tithes and offerings are given to God, the church receives all but not all is received by God. Every offering that is acceptable to God releases help to you. The church receives every gift, the sanctuary has record of accepted gifts.

Giving is not routine, it is a commandment and obedience a precondition. Tithe is not compulsory, but the lifestyle of covenant keepers. There is a right way to give for rewards and help from the sanctuary.

Giving must be cheerfully respectfully, honourably and continually. The story of Cain and Abel is well known to many from Sunday school. Both were at the altar with gifts before God but only one was accepted. So much has been said about the reason for the acceptable offering of Abel.

God is not in need of your gift but of your heart.

“The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee; Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion; Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.” Psalms 20:1-3.

The help from the sanctuary is accessible to those whose gifts are acceptable.  The gift of Cain is not acceptable in the sanctuary. The gifts are receives by the church but not recorded in the sanctuary.

Helplessness is a signs of unacceptable gift; the gift of Cain. What is in your hand is unacceptable until your heart is accepted by him. Abel gave honour to God by giving firstlings of his flock and the fat.

Honour gives first and the best not the least and left to God. Don’t waste your offerings and still be mired in suffering helplessness.

Rejection drove Cain to commit murder and obtained a curse in return. Let your giving today represent honour not horror to God. He is God, not your dog; even some dogs are better treated. May your gifts today be not an embarrassment to God ; the gift of Cain.

The first and the best is for the sanctuary for the release of his helps.

“Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.” Proverbs 3:9-10.

Prayer; My father, I know that the first and best is for you. I will always honour you with the firstling of all my increase. By acceptable offerings grant me access to exceeding great help from the sanctuary.  May   never give the offering of Cain, ever in Jesus name.

APPOINTED HELP

The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee; Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion; Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah. Psalms 20:1-3.

There are some rhetoric questions asked concerning divine supplies. Have you ever seen money coming down from heaven?  And the answer is no; but that does not preclude divine supplies.

Have you seen food raining down from heaven? Historical yes, manna and quails. Practically, the answer is no. So how does help come from the sanctuary or strength out of Zion?

Every giving to God is on record as accepted or unaccepted. Every giving according to the covenant is remembered for blessing. Your giving provokes performance in many areas of need .

God becomes your guarantor and the sanctuary the effecter of helps. Any gift that touches the sanctuary provokes help to the giver.

The helpers are men and angels; through saviours and favors.

“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” Luke 6:38.

Your offering is the recipe to be far from suffering, helpers are appointed to you. Giving money is not a money-back guarantee but appointed help guarantee. This is to debunk the claim of those that desire to make cash deposits and withdrawal from the sanctuary.

Help is sure, financial help is one of the helps available in God. Men and angels are appointed helpers from the sanctuary to givers.

Receive what money cannot buy; pressed down shaken together and running over. There is no need that cannot be met by God from his sanctuary.

Affordable help is procured, what money cannot buy is created. Make sure your gifts are acceptable to him to receive appointed help.

God has respect to every acceptable offering; appointed help from the sanctuary is sufficient for all things.

“And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering:” Genesis 4:3-4.

Prayer; My father; the sanctuary receive tithes and offerings, help is also appointed from the sanctuary. For every accepted offering, you have respect and appoints help. May I always give acceptably in Jesus name.

THE FAITHFULS.

He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much:and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? Luke 16:10-11.

I heard the word of the wise, “Money is the least of man’s problems, if money is your problem, you have very little problem.”

The scripture above reïterates just that fact. Money is for stewardship; the principles operated makes the treasure either sustainable or consumable. Check your priorities with money; spending, investing or laying up treasures in Heaven. Those that spend money never have enough, they work for them that invest.

I see a lot of this around, young men driving cars that are more expensive than their net investment portfolio. The car becomes their greatest asset and perchance a liability when things go wrong. Worth is not defined by what you have but what has been invested.

True riches is from continual investment of treasures in heaven. What is consumed is lost forever, gain is from laying up or faithful investments. Money management is the ticket to be the least or greatest in the kingdom.

“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: Matthew 6:19-20.

Heaven is the secure treasure house, the store house of the faithful. I looked up the word “lay” and the meaning was quite revealing.

Lay means to put down, gently or carefully. It could also be interpreted as setting something in position for later use. It could also mean to make ready for someone or something and to put the materials for in place and arrange it. From the foregoing, it’s obvious that “lay” is used for deliberate, intentional & premeditated actions. Casual, chance and mistakes are precluded. Believers are not called faithfus by chance but by the consistent attitude of laying up treasures in heaven

The unrighteous mammon or filthy lucre does not add value, true riches are from treasures in heaven. True riches is the portion of the faithful., it comes down from the sanctuary.

Be faithful in tithe, offerings and kingdom investments; true riches cannot fail.

“Do not err, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” James 1:16-17.

Prayer; Father, I thank you for true riches which comes from you alone. I understand that it is not from my pay check but from my kingdom investment.

May I continue to be faithful in this service in Jesus name.

TRUE RICHES

He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much:and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? Luke 16:10-11.

I am always disturbed with what I see whenever I go to the spare parts market. There is a section called “Ngbuka” or better said car trashing yard. There is no type of car that does not come for trashing. Its end of the road for many unserviceable luxury cars that graced the streets & some servicable cars that are poorly managed. The whole superstructure is reduced to a heap in a hurry with hammers, axes & spanners.  Sounds like moth, rust and thieves.

These cars that came for trashing are sometimes sold to interested buyers on the spot. It’s amazing to know that these were once treasures to another. The countless number of trucks on the road heaped with junk is testament to the trash yard of several spare parts market. Trashing business is big business; devourers are never at rest.

So also with riches, when poorly managed ends up as trash instead of treasures.

“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:” Matthew 6:19-20.

Many have laid up for themselves treasures on earth and are proud of it. The concept of laying up treasures in heaven is mocked; tithes & offerings are touted as gimmicks to enrich pastors.

How much treasures have you in heaven? How rich are you towards God.

There is one sanctuary, it is located in heaven with a High priest Jesus. Every gift, tithes and offering are written down & documented on this altar. Never expect heaven to come down unless you have treasures there.

Faithfulness is key to laying down treasures in heaven true riches. Heavenly help is free but to those with true riches laid up in heaven. Every treasure that is not converted to true riches is reduced to trash. The trashing ministry of devourers are terminated by laying up treasurers above. True riches are trash proof; that is the blessing from the sanctuary.

“The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee; Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion; Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.” Psalms 20:1-3.

Prayer; My father, now I know that am not destined for the trash yard but heaven with help from the sanctuary. True riches is my ticket to divine help from treasures laid down above. Grace to continually lay down true riches in Jesus name.

FINANCIAL MIRACLE OR MANIPULATION

And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living. Mark 12:43-44.

I am an offering steward in church; I pass the basket for tithe and offerings. Time of offering is a very defining moment for me. Since it’s customary envelope the seed, most of the offerings cannot be seen. In between the envelopes are offerings of 10 or 5 Naira notes. As the expression on my face does not change, I can imagine how Jesus feels. I can’t reject them, as am not the receiver but collector. Jesus was watching in the verse, and is always watching in the church. He knows your worth and the measure with which you give.

The widow gave her all, much more than the rich that gave bigger amounts.

“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” Luke 6:38.

It is not the amount that matters; it is the measure that counts. The usual excuse is that what i have is not much. While I celebrate those that give, there are others that gave not. When given becomes a routine, the hundredfold reward becomes a mirage.

My measure of offerings at the beginning of the year has changed according to the blessings of God. If my offering is what i gave two years ago, won’t it be an indictment. While the gift of the widow was acceptable the rich insulted God with their gifts.

Giving is serious business, your measure determines what is measured to you. I have had to empty my pockets in church countless times on instruction to the detriment of my returning from church. I never regretted any of those actions as they were met with instant rewards.

Get set for financial miracles and be free from manipulations.

“Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the Lord thy God which he hath given thee.” Deuteronomy 16:17

Prayer: I am indeed grateful to serve you with my substance. It is my delight to have the pleasure of giving to you from the abundance of your blessings.

May I continually match up my giving to your blessings in Jesus name.

THE LAW OF GIVING

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. Luke 6:38.

The giving covenant is Gods prescription for prosperity even in austerity. There are places and people appointed for your giving to be useful. If your giving is not proper, it shall not be given unto you. When given is not according to God’s prescription it’s essentially a donation.

Covenant giving ends up in good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over blessings. This is the difference between the giving covenant and donation. God is not in need, every gift meet the needs of man. When your seeds or gifts meet the need of man, men are under compulsion to meet your needs in the same measure.

When it’s your desire to meet the needs of others, God ensures that your needs are met by men. When your giving moves God, men are guided to meet your needs.

“And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering:of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering. And this is the offering which ye shall take of them; gold, and silver, and brass,” Exodus 25:1-3.

Giving is not convenient, but it is commanded.

Givers never lack because the commandment guarantees rewards and returns

Giving is the natural act that provokes supernatural response.  When giving stops, financial struggles begin. We are not containers of blessings but conduits or conductors of the same. Those that make themselves reservoirs of the blessing of God swell and burst. Giving is a necessity to continually enjoy the blessings of God. We’re not blessed to keep but to give the blessings.

For every blessing of God is a portion for food and seed to be sown or given.

Watch for those that become unusually fat with the blessings, they’re soon without a blessing. This is the law of giving; it describes the  roles and responsibilities for every blessing.

“And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee:and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” Genesis 12:2-3.

Prayer; My father, I understand that giving is the response to every blessing received. May my giving terminate financial struggles in Jesus name by the pressed down, shaken together and running over order of blessing.

GIVING WISDOM

The horseleach hath two daughters, crying, Give, give. There are three things that are never satisfied, yea, four things say not, It is enough: The grave; and the barren womb; the earth that is not filled with water; and the fire that saith not, It is enough. Proverbs 30:15-16.

Anytime I watch the news and listen to radio, I always try to learn something new. There is this group of people that grace the airways complaining about lack of funds for paucity of performance.

The assumption is that everything is available but funds to execute them. They repeat some catchy phrases repeatedly to the point of an outrage. Those are times to change the channel as we’re not on the same thought plane. That is the excuse of a waster, nothing’s ever enough.

Austerity is the opportunity for prosperity to those with covenant wisdom. Having less is not a disadvantage, having less wisdom is a bottleneck. A little in the hand of a wise man is better that a lot in the hand of the foolish. Many great business empires today we’re built with paltry amounts. Giving is the opposite of wasting, giving is voluntary spending for rewards while wasting is involuntary spending for losses.

What is given according to covenant specification is not lost but blessed for a reward.

“Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him. And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants:and the Philistines envied him.” Genesis 26:12-14.

The prevailing economic situation is not the reason for your lack. Black is not synonymous with lack but ignorance or lack of knowledge. Being of African descent is not a disadvantage, waste & frivolities is a choice.

Giving is the key to frugal living and exemption from waste. Giving is the masterkey to a world of  pressed down shaken together and running over. Giving is the lifestyle of the wise, waste is the opium of fools. Givers never lack, and wasters never have. If you don’t give, chances are that you’re a waster.

This is the giving wisdom!

“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” Luke 6:38.

Prayer: Lord I am indeed grateful for the giving wisdom. I am a giver, not a waster of seeds even in famine. Let my seeds continually speak in the harvest of blessings in Jesus name.
