A Brand New Life

For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ. Romans 5:17.

Living has some certain uncertainties, death is feared as the thief of life. Death is the greatest threat to life, “man was born to die” says a wise man.
Too many cemeteries and tombstone around us give credence to this fact. Death reigned, it had a celebrity status, a shadow on every life. Death remained an end until Christ opened the door.

The resurrection of Christ terminated the cycle of sin, death, hell and the grave and gave us new life.
Just like death reigned, new life is on the throne.
We saw Jesus die, he was hanging on the cross but it was my life that was life that crossed by his death.
The cross of Jesus is my death, his grave my burial place his resurrection my ticket to a brand new life.

“I am crucified with Christ:nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me:and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. I do not frustrate the grace of God:for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.”Galatians 2:20-21.

You don’t have to die physically to have the new life in Christ. Dying with Christ give access to newness of life. It personal, it’s my crucifixion, my death and my resurrection. The celebration of the resurrection of Christ begins with my resurrection with him and the new life it gives.
The words of this song is apt and germane:
See my Jesus on the cross, the people crying, Looking on a man would think, oh what a tragedy.
What the world could not see when they nailed him to the tree
He broke the chains of sin and set me free..
Love grew, where the blood fell, flowers of hope spring up for men and misery
Sin died, where the blood fell, I am so glad his precious blood covers me…”

From sin, death and the grave; a brand new life emerges.

“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life:he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?”John 11:25-26.

Prayer:

Dear father God, thank you for sending your son Jesus Christ to be my resurrection and life. A brand new life is mine from dirty, filthiness and debt in Jesus name.

RECEIVED, NOT ACHIEVED

Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars ‘hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious. For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, to the unknown God. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you. Acts 17:22-23.

The best things in life are not achieved, they are received. The resurrection of Christ Jesus from the dead grants access to a reigning life. Overcoming sin, death, hell, grave and hell is not a mean feat.
This is were religion ends and life begins.

Death and the grave have too many monuments to be ignored. Some religion celebrate worshiping the dead and venerate the grave as a pilgrimage.
It typifies the obvious lack of closure on sin, death, hell and the grave on these platforms. Take a look at your devotions, a living or a dead being? Unknown God.

How could the dead help the living?

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life:he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?”John 11:25-26.

While the dead and grave is the centre of religion, Christ offers resurrection and newness of life. It’s time to turn from the unknown to the known God.
The resurrection is the ticket to a new life, a reigning life. It’s amazing to know that this life is not achieved but received.

New life for free is the heritage of redemption by the resurrection. The life that was desired by man through several devotions is only available in Christ. It’s not just available but accessible to all that come to him in faith. Superstition is overtaken by the supernatural, resurrection is for your restoration. It’s received not achieved and it’s free!

“For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)” Romans 5:17.

Prayer:

Thank you dear father got the resurrection and eternal life. It’s my access to the reigning lifestyle free of cost. Thank you for this gift made affordable and accessible in Jesus name

Crossed graves

Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death:because it was not possible that he should be holden of it. Acts 2:23-24

Have you noticed that fundamentalism and extremism against Christian believers is rife during the resurrection season? Do the maths.

The defeat of the grave, hell and death comes with a closure of every other religious belief. The announcement of the resurrection send shivers down the spine of many religious leaders. Some desire to turn the joyous celebration into mourning but to no avail. It’s also good to know that such practice is not new; check the records.

Jesus died as our sacrifice by a deliberate plan to silence the gospel. His blood was shed as it is today or his followers and believers. It may come as a rude shock that this practice is not stopping after over 2000 years. One of the solution is to live in the hope of the resurrection.

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”Romans 8:35-37.

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. How can a gathering of innocent worshippers be a threat to a person? How can a religion that bear no arms be so powerful that weapons of war are deployed to decimate it. How Luke one rejoice over the death of another on the cross or crossed buildings How can death be the triumph of one over another?

The gospel continues not in crossed buildings and crossed graves but the hope of the resurrection of the dead. Death has lost its sting, grave the victory! For everyone that lives in the hope of the resurrection and those that died are one; life eternal
Connected with Christ both in death and life; crossed graves indeed.

“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life:he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?”John 11:25-26.

Prayer:

Thank you father for the death and resurrection of Christ Jesus, death is dotted and the grave is crossed. Access to life eternal begins. I am delighted to live in the hope of resurrection through Jesus Christ.

Resurrected or raised

MY REDEEMER LIVES!

For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold,
and not another; though my reins be consumed within me. Job 19:25-27.

One of the most succinct description of the resurrection is found in these verses from the book of Job. While many wonder why the book was included in the Bible, I have no doubt Job believed in the resurrection and spoke of it boldly. He wanted his words written in the book in verse 23, of course he knew he was prophesying about the redeemer Jesus Christ. He was too sure to write that the redeemer was coming physically to the earth.

The redeemer is not subject to death, death, grave and hell. He was also sure that after his body has suffered corruption or decomposition he would surely see the redeemer. Him and other covenant fathers lived in the hope of resurrection and the surety of a redeemer.
With the same eyes reduced to dust, he would see the redeemer on resurrection day.

“For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” Psalms 16:10-11.

Resurrection is restoration of physical, mental, intellectual and spiritual wellbeing. David was speaking in the psalms prophetically of the resurrection day. Jonah spoke of three days and nights in the grave, reinforced in the Psalms as being exempt from corruption by the resurrection.

Jesus is the first to experienced the resurrection with the saints that were in Hell. The resurrection of Christ Jesus restored access back to God and creation back to his creator. The path of life is permanently revealed and accessible to man. The hope of many covenant saints is confirmed, the redeemer lives and the keys of death and hell are recovered.
The hope of many generations is restored, its resurrection day.

“Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.”Matthew 27:50-53.

Prayer:

Dear Father thank you for confirming the hope of many generations in giving us a redeemer. Death is no longer the end, graves are open, eternal life is available and accessible by the same Jesus Christ.

Victory celebration

Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death:because it was not possible that he should be holden of it. Acts 2:23-24.

I like football and I played the game when I was much younger, these days I sparingly watch the game but the news of every game is always before me. The excitement and disappointment of the fans are infectious after every game. It leaves me to question how such transient event could evoke much emotion and energy.

There is no event in history or life compared to the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is the victory celebration over sin, death, hell and the grave.

Resurrection is the restoration of man to God’s original plan. It is the determined counsel and purpose of God from the fall to redeem man back to himself. Resurrection is the restoration of man physically, mentally, intellectually and spiritually.

And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.”1 Corinthians 15:45-46.

Life begins with resurrection, death reigned before the resurrection. The resurrection of Christ is a done deal, resurrection experience is personal.
Jesus rose from the dead over two thousand years ago, many have been raised since his resurrection.

Resurrection becomes meaningful with an experience of the resurrection life. Those that connect with the risen Christ are raised with him.
Resurrection day began over two thousand years ago, today can be your resurrection date. Filthiness disappointed, uncleanness terminated, the graves are open and living souls are quickened to live for ever. The victory celebration begins from the resurrection day at infinitum.

Resurrection is the ticket to a winning lifestyle.

But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”Romans 8:11.

Prayer:

Dear father, I am delighted to know that resurrection is my restoration. The victory over sin, death, hell and grave provokes eternal celebration. Thank you for the winning lifestyle in Jesus name.

RESURRECTION, NOT RESUSCITATION

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life:he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? John 11:25-26.

Death, hell and the grave are topics that many would rather avoid to discuss. One could smartly say, they don’t exist but what about death? Death has been a mystery that causes much misery on the earth until Christ.

One of the responsibilities of a medic apart from treating the sick is witnessing the death of those that do not recover. This process of reviving the dying or resuscitation is a role that is they’re well accustomed to. This is the last ditch effort to revive the dying which is not always successful. Even when it is successful, they live to die another time.
Sometimes resuscitation is useless, death is imminent resurrection is the only hope. Well my role as a medic is to resuscitate, Jesus resurrects the dead.

If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.”Job 14:14.

Medicare has improve quality and quantity of life.; many lives have been prolonged. Death however is inevitable, resuscitation ends overtaken by the hope of resurrection. He quest for eternal life is as old as man now guaranteed by the covenant of resurrection. Death is no longer an end but a passage to eternal life.

Lazarus was raised from the dead by Christ Jesus the resurrection and life, he died in hope of the resurrection. Christ is the first to be resurrected and he is the resurrection. So we live in hope, that likewise we shall be raised to live like him.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,”1 Peter 1:3-4.

Prayer :
Father thank you for the resurrection covenant in Christ Jesus, I live in this hope. Death is no longer a scarecrow, life begins from death, my life is in Christ Jesus.

Rain of ideas

For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Isaiah 55:10-11.

The covenant begins with the word of God; God mean what he says and says what he mean. His word is his thoughts, they’re harbingers of divine ideal. His word distills from heaven to the earth as the rain and the dew.

The more of his word is more of his ideas at work.
Divine ideas are God’s thoughts communicated in word, vision, and dreams. Every word of God is our guide into the world of discovery and invention.
His word is prophetic, instructive and corrective.
He does not just send his word, he guides it to prosper in the thing that it’s sent to.

God’s word is the source of the program of discovery and the guide to invention of solutions.

Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” Malachi 3:10.

Heaven has windows, blessings never stop coming down from heaven to those that are connected. God is never short of ideas, open heavens unlocks man’s limitations. The tithe is the ticket to unlocks the windows of heaven for the rain of ideas.

Every situation has a solution, every challenged can be changed by divine ideas. The thoughts of God open new vistas in life. Ideas never stop, thoughts come easy with the windows of heaven open. Closed chapters are opened, turnarounds to life situations, solution to complex challenges.
The rain of ideas follow an encounter with the transforming power of God’s word.
A continuos change of status is inevitable with open heavens.

And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land:and they shall dwell safely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods. And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing.”Ezekiel 34:25-26.

Prayer:

Thank you father for seeing eyes, hearing ears and speaking mouths. A ceaseless flow of divine ideas by open heavens is my heritage by the covenant in Jesus name.

Habit of greatness

And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee:and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. Genesis 12:2-3.

What is the worth of a name? Why are some names forgotten while others come to mind. Some persons never die, their name is blessed, they are a blessing. Their name has become a procedure, a maneuver, a service, a product and the like.

What s the worth of your name? You’re as great as your name; you’re your name.

Many years ago, a child was born premature in “the house built by slaves” Not many days after, he died and brought mourning, sadness to a nation. The question was asked, what could be done to prevent death of such babies. Not long afterwards two landmark discoveries were made that changed the face of newborn care globally. Many lives are being saved by the findings, the baby has a great name although he lived for just a few days.

Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it. I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions. “Proverbs 8:10-12.

Great nations arise from great people with great ideas and great names. A great name is the heritage of the covenant of the blessing.
One covenant idea is enough for a lifetime of greatness. Every covenant practitioner becomes great by an idea, vision or dream. Something to live for, a reason to be remembered and a great name that make waves.

Are you a leader of thought, ideas and wisdom? You’re poised to become a great nation and your nation is destined for greatness. Greatness is not by choice, it’s by the force of the covenant of blessing. Greatness begin with a superior idea and a habit to excel in everything. In the words of a wise man, “your habit and attitude determines your altitude

Watch what brings you around the table, an idea, a new discovery or a bottle of……. The spirit of Joseph is a habit of greatness, he excelled everywhere & anywhere.

And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is? And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art: Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled:only in the throne will I be greater than thou.”Genesis 41:38-40.

Prayer
Dear father God, the covenant is the platform to excel everywhere and anywhere. Thank you for the habit of greatness by covenant ideas in Jesus name.
