Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: Genesis 3:1-2.
There is a snake that lives in a particular area of northern Nigeria. It has an unusual name in Hausa language that is spoken in low tunes due to its lethal consequences; “go be de nisa”
This literally means that tomorrow is too far, many of its victims never live to see the next 24 hours. It’s not such a large snake but it’s venom is neurotoxic and uniformly fatal. The size of the snake or serpent does not determine the amount of venom produced. If the venom is poisonous how much more the bite of such snake.
The devil is not to be pitied, he does not pity any one of God’s creature. Subtlety should not be confused with weakness, it’s his operational guide. Venoms and stings may seem small in volume but their effect is phenomenal the devil and his cohorts do not shoot rubber bullets nor scare the believer but steals, kills and destroys.
“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy:and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.”Luke 10:19-20.
Redemption is the beginning of exemption from hurt and harm. It’s also the key to offence apart from defence from every means or devices of the devil. Nothing shall by any means hurt you is not a slogan but a reality.
We are seated far above, hence far away from the devices of the devil and his works. The serpents and scorpions have not ceased to exist but your abode is too far. Hence we live as though they don’t exist by virtue of the new status as gods on the earth. The serpents and scorpions are not permitted to dare the gods among men.
Redemption is our exemption certificate from harm and hurt. We’re positioned far above, seated and kept from any means of the devil. Just like God, the gods are invincible; free from harm and hurt.
“They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course. I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.” Psalms 82:5-6.
Thank you Father for the unveiling of the godlike status accessible by redemption. The devil has not ceased to be poisonous but the we are exempted from harm and hurt by the same Christ Jesus.
