Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel:for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days:but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia. Daniel 10:12-13.
The scripture quoted has been used as a standard prescribing prayer against demons that hinder prayers. It’s the testimony of the encounter between the angel that came with the answers to the prayers of Daniel with the prince of Persia, a territorial principality and power over Persia.
It’s obvious that angels are messengers or ministers of answers to prayers. The angel was withstood for 21 days by the prince of Persia, a higher order, a delayed delivery answers to Daniel’s prayers. It took the intervention of another angel of greater status and the chief prince of the kingdom of God to deliver the answers to Daniel’s prayers. The devil was the head of principalities and powers before Christ.
Redemption is the rescue form the stranglehold of this taskmaster by a change of levels from under to far above principalities and powers.
“Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.” Ephesians 2:2-3.
Without redemption, the princes were in charge, after the cross the sons are now in charge.
It used to be the war of the princes, now it’s the sons that command the princes. Redemption is the turning point from being under the prince of the power of the air to become far above them.
Daniel could not intervene in the combat, the princes were at war; he was a spectator. By the conquest of Christ, we are the commanders in spiritual warfare. We have been placed far above principalities and powers to command and conquer.
The princes are no longer in charge, the sons are in charge. “God is in control but the sons are in charge!”
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” Ephesians 6:12-13.
Thank you father for the kingdom of God headed by the lord Jesus Christ your son. We are born again into the same kingdom as sons, no longer slaves to the prince of the air. Thank you father, in Jesus name.
