But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) Ephesians 2:4-5.

Life is in levels and men are in sizes says the wise man. This slogan or phrase is helpful in explaining a lot of spiritual things. Redemption is a change of levels from lower to higher life. One may wonder, how low were in life before Christ? We were very low, lower than angels.

“Sin is a sinker of life and destinies” from the lofty height we fell in Adam to the lowest ebb. Man became a mess after becoming the toast of God and his angels.

Redemption is not for reduction but elevation to glory and virtue. Man fell in Adam to the earth and was raised in Christ to heavenly places.

“Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.”Ephesians 2:2-3.

Without Christ, man was the laughing stock of demons, they had us as slaves. The prince of the power of the air was our taskmaster. No matter how great a man could become without Christ he is still subject to the devil and his minions. Prisoners of passion, subjects to the flesh, destined for destruction.

Redemption is for a turnaround, deliverance from the low to high life. Low life is the normal life for everyone that is still under the old order. Redemption therefore is the rescue of the soul of man. Redemption is rescue from sin to reign in life. We are translated from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of God.

A definite change of level is yours, this is the heritageof redemption.

“Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:”Colossians 1:12-14.

My Father, my Father, I am delighted to know that I am translated from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of your dear son.” My level don change” I am thankful that redemption lifts me up form the depths to the heights in Jesus name.
