And she said, Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight. So the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad. And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the Lord, and returned, and came to their house to Ramah:and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the Lord remembered her. 1 Samuel 1:18-19.

Mockery make people laugh; misrepresenting and imitating someone. Making mockery of life situations is the stock in trade of some comedians. They tell the story of poverty, lack, barrenness and failure. One reason for sadness of many childless couples is the mockery of men. One sure thing, humour does change lives when God is the comedian. Many attending comedy shows go home sad as laughter is transient and knowing that they were laughing at their situation. The only humour that does not end in sadness causes a change of story. Hannah’s countenance was no longer sad when her change of story came. Every encounter with the God of wonders affect your countenance forever. Laughter becomes a force of change of story.

“He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.”Psalms 2:4-5

God also laughs, he makes his people laugh also. This is not transient laughter, it’s everlasting bliss. God turns mockery to making babies, God laughs at your mockers. Watch out when your mockers multiply, they are witnesses arranged for your making. Church is God’s comedy house for making men great. Worship makes God laugh and deploy his warship of wonders. Those that mock at your childlessness become the audience to celebrate the arrival of Isaac. While you are a mockery, God’s word is at work to making your heritage. The maker of children transforms the mockery of men. It’s never late to have your Isaac; when God laughs, you are remembered.

“And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me. And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have given children suck? for I have born him a son in his old age.”Genesis 21:6-7.
