And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me. And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have given children suck? for I have born him a son in his old age. Genesis 21:6-7.
Having worked in IVF facilities, it’s my desire to see improvements in this area. So much is achieved but the failures are mind-boggling. So much effort, time, money and expertise are deployed repeatedly. Yet some questions remain unanswered and desires unmet. What is the maximum age beyond which a woman should attempt the procedure? As the age of the woman advances, the possible complications outweigh benefit. Some have even lost their life trying. When should further attempts be refused a client due to age. I have received the baby born to a woman at 52years following IVF. Yet I know a woman that conceived twins spontaneously at 57years. The choice is yours, to have medical procedures or assisted conception. Sarah was over 75years, am looking forward to such miracles.
“And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;”Romans 4:19-20.
Faith is the currency or purchasing power for every heavenly virtues. The dead wait for burial but faith gives life back to the dead. Two dead bodies gave birth to new life, that is the wonder working Faith in God. Its Okay to loose hope as Sarah did or worse still be amused by the idea. The word of God gives life to the dead, that is resurrection & regeneration. “Live and not die, live before you die” The reason why Christ was raised from the dead is to give us a platform for resurrection and regeneration. The power of resurrection Quickens, regenerates bodies; everybody.
“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”Romans 8:11.
