He delighteth not in the strength of the horse:he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.The Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem;praise thy God, O Zion. Psalms 147:10-12.

Life is not a game of chance, but that is how many live daily. Trying to do everything by themselves, making the most, trying their best. The help they know is the legs of man and the strength of the horse. They trust in themselves and the systems around them. These could serve as alternatives to God; the creature rather than the creator. The fear of God is replaced in their consciousness. Who is helping you? The creator or the created? The hand of men or God? These are not question you want to be asked. No hand can be lifted in help to you without the creator at work. This is the disappointment of those that delight is the created & deride their creator. God reacts when men revere his works and disconnect from him. The created things should connect us more to the creator.

“Now the Egyptians are men, and not God;and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the Lord shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.”Isaiah 31:3.

The wisdom of this world rides on the legs of man and the strength of the horse. Flesh cannot compare with spirit for help. The arm of flesh fail when the spirit of God is at work. The amazing part of the story is that the help and the helper fail together. Check who is helping you, it gives an inkling of your situation. Why rise to fall when you can rise and rise again. You will no longer rise and fall with your helper beside you.

Let God help you! It sure help, it doesn’t hurt. It’s flesh versus spirit and your time starts now.

“For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.” 1 Corinthians 1:19-21.
