And they came to Jericho:and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me. Mark 10:46-47.

Beggars ask for help from everybody, expecting to receive from somebody. This profession is subscribed to by many, in small or large scale. The highway side is a popular location for many beggars.

Nothing is too small, at all, at all, na em bad pass! When Jesus was passing by, Bartimaeus saw opportunity coming.  To ask and receive from one that has everything in abundance. A cry for mercy, attracted the masters attention. The covenant connection was established as the son of David was called. May you understand the time of your visitation. He asked alms of all, but asked for mercy from Jesus; he lacked no more. Grace gave him a blank cheque; the lord desired specifics of him. From begging from men he asked of God and got a change of story. Those that obtain help from God cease to beg from men. Blindness ended in a moment, begging ceased, a celebrity was born.

“Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”Hebrews 4:14,16.

Every encounter with the lord Jesus grants a change of story. Zion is the depot of mercy and the throne of grace. It is not for spectators, it’s exclusive for covenant partners. Bartimaeus left begging behind to become a celebrity with a testimony to show.  The covenant platform turn around destinies today by the same Jesus. Grace and mercy are covenant forces for a change of story. Beggars live without guarantees; covenant living is guaranteed. Mercy attract attention but grace changes situation.

Mercy is for the asking, a cry for help to the son of David.

Just like Bartimaeus, become an amazement to yourself. Leave begging behind. Your cry for help is heard, mercy comes to you.

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee:be not dismayed; for I am thy God:I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”Isaiah 41:10.
