Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. Psalms 127:1.

It’s enlightening listening to experts on security & safety information. These vital knowledge is expected of everyone in everyplace. Intelligence gathering and vetting of places and people in our daily lives. In the midst of all the work done, an armed attack or security breach occurs. It makes the security apparatus seem fragile and incompetent. To suggest that one novel approach or policy will solve it all is naivety. But come to think of it, safety and security is of God; his responsibility.

Possession of vital information with lack of the keys of hell is a disaster. The foundation or basics of security becomes faulty. The author or the head of the evil clan, the devil needs to be in check. As long as the devil is free to move at will, he will find willing cohorts.

“And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven:and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven:and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 16:18-19.

Someone may wonder, what’s the Church business in this matter? The gates of hell! The church keeps the devil in check. Zion is the rock in which the church is built; it’s external and eternal. Trusting the experts or the Lord for safety and security is a choice. The keys are with the church to bind or loose the gates of hell. Heaven on earth and the peace therein is enforced from Zion. The safety and security provided is not temporary but eternal. Just like Jerusalem, dwelling in the midst of sworn enemies but never assailed nor overcome by them; so the church. You are too defended to be a victim both in life and eternally. Next time you are in Zion, remind the father for your security details. Your eternal & external defence is in Zion; angelic company.

“They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever. As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about his people from henceforth even for ever. For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.”Psalms 125:1-3.
