For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents:but Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods. Exodus 7:12.

And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm. Daniel 1:20.

In every generation God’s wisdom and power is on display among the elect. God’s wisdom objective is to swallow up every rod of the wickedness or Egypt. At every encounter, the wisdom of this world shows its fallen nature. It’s a copy of the original, but corrupted by misuse. The inferior will always bow, the fickle will always buckle. Every man holds a rod of knowledge, wisdom and understanding. Some are professional, political, academic, social, diabolical or others. The learning, devotion, competition and rigors involved make them attractive. This Wisdom appeals to common sense, hence common wisdom. It has a popular appeal, it obtains the thumb up; Popular wisdom. It has follower-ship and can win an election or contest.

God’s wisdom is none of these. How and when they choose to use it is best known to them. One of the rods of wisdom used commonly is sorcery and witchcraft. Unfortunately these are inferior mediums of wisdom and power. Whenever God’s wisdom and power shows up, a showdown is inevitable. The wisdom of God is at least ten times better, far and above every other. The rod of God is the Word and Spirit of Christ or the Holy Spirit. It has effect and influence in life and eternity. By him swallow up the rod of the wicked in your neighborhood or community. Show off your rod for a showdown in life and eternity; overthrow wickedness! The inferior loves to advertise their rods, the eternal shows up for their shutdown. This is warfare, not fanfare. Wisdom and power in combination for a ten times better result in life.

This is the portion of his elect, chosen and called. Be at least ten times better, greater and distinguished among your peers by the rod of Christ.

“And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him,the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;’Isaiah 11:1-2.
