This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, and devilish. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. James 3:15-16.
There are different kinds of wisdom, earthly, sensual and devilish or diabolic. They are all noted in the scriptures. By their fruits, they are known. There is a wisdom that descends from above, that is Godly wisdom. When wisdom is not from above it falls into one or all of the three categories. The wisdom of God stands out distinctly but the other three are intimately related.
Earthly wisdom is for survival, it is limited to living on earth; it’s natural. Sensual wisdom is common sense and evidence, science inclusive.
Sensual wisdom is the foundation of discoveries in science, medicine and technology. We all use them, they keep changing with time.
Devilish wisdom is very popular in some regions of the world. It is powered by superstitions, sacrifices and events that lack explanations. It is founded on demon worship and idolatry; voodoo and juju. Many of us born in Africa are recipients or participants in these.
The earthly, sensual and devilish is the wisdom of the world. They are used interchangeably for strife, envy, confusion and every evil work. The wisdom of the world kills, steals and destroys. The wisdom of God is domiciled in the man from above; Jesus Christ. That wisdom is encountered in him; it’s a rod of offense and defense. That which is from above is always above all other. Heavenly wisdom is eon years above the worldly; earthly, sensual and devilish. By heavenly wisdom, terminate every worldly influence with detrimental effect. You don’t have to live victimized by worldly wisdom, connect to heavenly wisdom. He that is from above gives life to reign above all other wisdom.
“He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.”John 3:31.
“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”John 10:10.
