But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence. 1 Corinthians 1:27-29.
The kingdom of God operates by its own set of values.
It is at variance with the rules of the world where the best gets the job. The best of the world cannot compare with the least of God. God is not looking for the best, wisest and mighty, the world is substandard. Kingdom entrance is open to all but accessed by few. The choice is God’s, choosing the willing. The seemingly qualified by the world standard are not chosen. Even when they are called, they may not hear; too busy with the world.
What qualifies the chosen ones? I don’t know, maybe they heard the call.
The qualified choose themselves, but not in God. He calls, those that hear, are chosen.
Being unqualified by the world’s standard is not your disqualification. Your maker knows your heart. Chosen is God’s signature on the redeemed. His call qualifies the chosen, nothing more, nothing less. You too can be chosen by him and blessed. How foolish can you be? How weak are you? Can you help yourself? Can you elevate the invisible above the obvious?
Believing Christ Jesus as lord is the highest level of foolishness. That is the first step to the election of grace. Salvation is a gift, not an achievement or endowment. I am chosen of God, I really don’t know why; it’s the highest call Being chosen makes all the difference and the turnarounds begin.
Very soon the only signature of your life will be Chosen and blessed of God. Chosen is God’s signature for becoming a masterpiece in life. Jesus is God’s foolishness for a fulfilled life and eternity.
He chose……………me. It’s never too late to be chosen.
“But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.”1 Corinthians 1:23-24.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”Ephesians 2:8-9.
